Factual error: Garfield plays a violin in the film. The miniature displayed on the desk is supposed to be a violin, but it is actually a cello on its side.
Other People's Money (1991)
1 factual error
Directed by: Norman Jewison
Starring: Danny DeVito, Gregory Peck, Penelope Ann Miller, Piper Laurie
Continuity mistake: After Garfield has finished his speech at the stock holder's meeting, he returns to his chair and crosses his legs. They cut away and then quickly cut back to him in a long shot and he crosses his legs again in the exact same manner.
Kate Sullivan: For someone who doesn't have anything nice to say about lawyers you certainly have plenty of them around.
Lawrence Garfield: They're like nuclear warheads. They have theirs, so I have mine. Once you use them they f - - everything up.
Trivia: When you first meet Kate, she states how ironic it is that she is Jorgy's lawyer fighting for him to save his company. The movie never explains why that is ironic. If you read the play this movie is based on, you will understand that Kate's mother cheated on her father to be with Jorgy, and their life was completely absorbed by that New England company that Kate hated.
