Continuity mistake: Early in the film, after the tramp slides down the hill and takes out his map, he points to it. In the close-up shots he is not wearing gloves, but in the wide shot he has black gloves on.
Continuity mistake: When Big Jim saw the Little Fellow turn into a chicken for the second time, in the close up shot of Big Jim the knife is still seen lying on the table (which earlier was put away by the Little Fellow) and in the very next shot it disappears again from the table. (00:18:30)
Continuity mistake: In the shoe-eating scene, the arrangement of the tramp's hair (noticeably his bangs) changes from shot to shot.
Continuity mistake: In the scene showing the Little Fellow and Big Jim where Big Jim frequently mistakes the Little Fellow for a chicken, when the camera alternately focuses on Big Jim and both of them together, the knife on the table repeatedly changes its position. (00:17:15 - 00:18:10)
Continuity mistake: When Chaplin's character is waiting for Georgia to come to dinner, a horse walks in and bites one of the napkin settings that was rolled in the glass. Chaplin takes the setting away from the horse, pushes the horse out, sits down at the table, takes the setting out of his own glass, puts it in the empty glass, and puts the chewed napkin setting in his pocket. Now his glass is empty. He falls asleep, dreams, and wakes up with the chewed setting in his glass when it was empty before he fell asleep.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the tramp and Georgianna dance, they go past the guy who was looking at the tramp funny earlier (the guy with the Russian-style hat). In the close-up shot of the guy, he is smoking a cigar, but in the wide shot he is not.
