Max and Elise (the girl) are behind her own "kidnapping;" they set Avery up to think he was selling her out to pay a debt. When Charlie pays the ransom, they split the money with the thugs and disappear. Charlie and Lono find out, kill the thugs, track Max and Elise down to a resort, and kill them both for "lying to their friends."

Question: According to the credits, Suicide Kings is based on a short story by Don Stanford called "The Hostage". Where was this story published, and is it possible to read it?
