Continuity mistake: When Dr. Dolittle goes to tell his daughter Charisse that they are not going to Europe, Charisse is seen on the bed resting on her knees but when the camera angle changes to a view behind her she is now seen sitting on the bed. (00:20:35)
Plot hole: How did Dolittle manage to rescue an incredibly heavy bear from drowning? He must be unbelievably strong to be able to drag a bear of that weight. (00:35:25)
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Dolittle is giving CPR to the bear, the bear is completely dry. If you just rescued something from the water, it should be wet. (00:35:30)
Factual error: A male bee yells, "attack!" and more male bees cry, "defend the hive!" Male bees never leave the hive and they don't have stingers. (01:02:10)
Factual error: The beehive is a large part of this story for Archie wants to get it down for Ava. But bees do not make hives like that. The type of hive that they show is similar to a wasp's. (01:02:35)
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Dolittle goes to see the bear in jail, he walks down a hall with animals behind bars. In one of the cages is a big python. They don't keep snakes in cages with bars because they could easily escape.
Other mistake: In the courtroom scene near the end of the film, the Apple logo on the laptop is upside down.
Answer: In the movie, Archie and Ava are the only Western Pacific bears, Sonny is another type of bear.
