Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Continuity mistake: When Ron enters the common room, Harry places himself at the edge of the couch. When it cuts, he has moved further in on it.

Mortug

Continuity mistake: During the Tournament's first task, Harry runs behind the large rock formation to hide from the Horntail. After he's summoned the Firebolt, as he's crouched down, there is a semi close-up of Harry, then it cuts to a close-up, and the position of his red and black hood on his shoulders noticeably changes between these shots.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After Harry overhears the conversation between Snape and Karkaroff, Snape holds up the small glass bottle of Veritaserum while he accuses Harry of stealing from his store of ingredients. The way Snape holds the bottle repeatedly differs between the close-ups facing Harry and close-ups facing Snape.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In the cemetery, when Harry stands trapped at the statue, the ripped sleeve and arm cut are visible as his hands grasp the sickle handle, and they both differ between shots.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: As the Horntail nears during the challenge, when Harry clings to the window frame, the characteristics of the broken windowsill he stands on changes depending on camera angle. (Not due to more breakage.) (01:00:50)

Super Grover

Audio problem: Before the start of the third task, when the champions make their appearance, the band is playing in the stands. The sounds of the bass drum are not entirely in sync with the girl who is pounding the mallets on that bass drum.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Filch fires off the cannon for Cedric to go face his dragon in the first task, you see Karkaroff standing on Krum's left (viewer's right). In the next shot, the close-up of Cedric, Karkaroff is now on Krum's other side. (00:55:05)

Continuity mistake: At the Yule Ball, Hermione's hair is done up with the long curl at the back, and at times that long curl is either in front of her shoulders or at her back depending on camera angle. Additionally, even when her hair is normal, it changes in some consecutive shots throughout the film. (01:18:35)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Harry is with Neville at the lake, Hermione, Ron and Ginny walk over. Then, as Hermione approaches Harry, her striped scarf noticeably changes position around her neck in consecutive shots.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In the Triwizard champions' tent, after Fleur picks her dragon, in the overhead shot Fleur looks up as Madame Maxime stands directly behind her, with her hands on the champion's shoulders. However, in the next shot Madame Maxime leans over as she stands toward Fleur's left, and her hands are off the shoulders.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: During the Hungarian Horntail challenge, the dirt smudges on Harry's face noticeably change in consecutive shots, within the same time frame.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: Dumbledore wears a thin silver strand, with dangling silver balls, tied round his beard throughout the film, and the position of this strand differs in consecutive shots, depending on the camera angle. For example, when Dumbledore stands beside the pensieve, whilst speaking with Snape, McGonagall and Moody.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: During the first part of the movie, Moody doesn't have a eyebrow over his Magic Eye, it is clear because you can see the stitch marks. Then when he is talking to Harry he has a bushy white eyebrow where there wasn't one before. (00:25:20)

Continuity mistake: Just before Moody turns Draco into a ferret Harry has a confrontation with him and pushes him. In the first shot right before Harry pushes him they are almost face to face. Cut to behind Harry after he pushes him and Draco has been pushed back several feet. Cut to behind Draco just as Harry says 'he's vile and cruel' and they are now almost face to face again. (00:48:40)

Continuity mistake: After Cedric Diggory is killed in the cemetery, his body changes position during the scene, particularly its proximity to the Riddle monument.

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Weasley, HRH, and the rest reach the boot Portkey, to take them to the Quidditch World Cup, in the first close-up of the boot (with the sky behind it) there are many very tall blades of grass on the mound around it. In the next shot, just as they start to encircle the Portkey there are much less single tall blades - before anyone has had a chance to stomp on them.

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Harry is to meet Sirius in the common room the camera moves in on him as he walks towards the newspaper lying on the chair. You can see a table there as well with two books on it. When it cuts the books has been replaced with several other items.

Mortug

Continuity mistake: In the scene when Harry is talking to Sirius Black in the fire, Sirius has a large piece of wood below his right nostril in all of the close-up shots. But in the shots that are farther away, there is no large wood piece, and instead there is a smaller one that is on fire.

Continuity mistake: When Barty Crouch places the chalice on the table he has his hand under the piece of cloth lying on top of it. When it cuts to Dumbledore you can see Barty in the background with his hand outside the cloth.

Mortug

Ginny Weasley: He just asked Fleur Delacour to the ball. Actually he sort of screamed at her. It was a bit frightening.
Harry Potter: What did he do next?
Ron Weasley: What else? I ran for it!

Question: On what Dumbledore thought when he said that the labyrinth has no dragon or sea creatures, but there is something much more dangerous: he didn't know it would be Voldemort in the maze, did he?

Feather

Chosen answer: Dumbledore did not know that Voldemort set a trap inside the maze. Unlike the book, there are no magical creatures or riddles to overcome inside the maze. What Dumbledore is referring to is a test of courage. The four champions must overcome their individual fears in order to successfully navigate the maze and win the tournament.
