Continuity mistake: At the cemetery, when Harry is trapped at the statue, Voldemort raises his right arm and places his finger on Harry's forehead stating, "I can touch you now." While Voldemort's arm remains raised his sleeve slides down towards his shoulder, but is back up at his elbow in the close-up. He seems to have the same problem in other shots during this scene. (02:01:10)
Continuity mistake: During the Priori Incantatem, Harry is shown using both hands to hold his wand steady. The very next shot, however, shows him holding with just one hand, then his other hand comes up to grasp the wand as well. (02:03:10)
Continuity mistake: In the cemetery, just after Voldemort shouts, "He's mine!" when he faces off with Harry during Priori Incantatem, in this specific overhead wide shot, which is directly over Cedric's body and the Triwizard Cup in the foreground, the Cup is only a couple of feet away from Cedric's feet; whereas in a previous wide shot, when Voldemort says, "Here you stand before me as though it were only yesterday..." both the trophy and Cedric's body are seen at the top of the screen (with the Riddle monument in between), and the Triwizard Cup is quite a distance away, at least 4-5 feet, from Cedric's body. (02:03:30)
Continuity mistake: In the cemetery, the gash on Harry's left cheek changes depending on camera angle, such as during Priori Incantatem when Cedric says, "Take my body back..." and then when Lily says, "Sweetheart, let go..." (02:04:30)
Continuity mistake: When Harry is being told by Dumbledore that he's home, Dumbledore's hands change position instantly. (02:05:20)
Continuity mistake: Just after Harry says to Mad-Eye that he never mentioned the graveyard, there is one shot of Harry and his arm isn't cut or bloody. (02:08:20)
Continuity mistake: When Mad-Eye is blasted by Dumbledore he flies back with his hands in the air and hits the wall. Camera cuts and now his arms are down and he hits the wall again. (02:09:45)
Continuity mistake: When Barty Crouch Jr. lunges at Harry, Dumbledore grabs him and pulls him back. The camera does an instant cut and Dumbledore's grip on Harry has changed totally. (02:11:10)
Continuity mistake: After Barty Crouch Jr. says, "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours," when Dumbledore grabs Harry's injured arm, the wound and the way he grips Harry's arm differs between shots. (02:11:20)
Continuity mistake: When Dumbledore walks into Harry's dormitory, joking about setting fire to the curtains, the position of the clothing, etc., on Harry's bed differs between shots. (02:14:20)
Other mistake: At the very end, the Durmstrang ship is leaving, it's away from the 'bank', firing its cannon. And then we see the Beauxbatons girls leaving Hogwarts... Followed by Durmstrang students whose boat has already left. (02:22:00)
Continuity mistake: When HRH are in the Great Hall, there is a toast caddy on the table in front of Harry. Certain pieces of toast disappear and reappear or rearrange themselves, depending on the camera angle, from the start of this scene when Harry dribbles on himself, through Ron's reaction to his dress robes.
Continuity mistake: After the Yule Ball, when Neville walks into the dormitory, his shoes hang round his neck by their laces. While he says, "You alright Harry?" in Neville's first close-up his black collar lies flat, the shoes' laces hang round his white shirt and the heels touch. In the second shot his black collar is flipped up around his neck, the shoes' laces hang round the black collar and heels are about four inches apart. Then, in the third shot it reverts back, as in the first shot.
Continuity mistake: Seamus is sitting by Ron when Beaxbatons Academy and Durmstang are being introduced in the Great Hall. Then, when Mad-Eye Moody comes in and Hermione is telling them who he is, Seamus is suddenly sitting by her, across the table from Ron. Ginny also moves - she's initially by Hermione, then when Seamus suddenly takes her place, she's now sitting further down the table.
Revealing mistake: Aboard the Hogwarts Express, when Harry stands beside the open window and sends Hedwig off with the letter for Sirius, surely his hair and clothes would be wildly moving about, because of the strong wind from the fast moving train.
Continuity mistake: At the end, the wound on Harry's left cheek changes from a series of small scratches when he says good-bye to Dumbledore to a deeper more singular wound when he says good-bye to Ron and Hermione.
Continuity mistake: When Fred or George passes the note to Ron in the Great Hall, encouraging him get a date before all the good ones are gone, the position and style of writing on the note changes between shots. The number of lines changes from four to three and the words are written lower on the paper when Ron reads it.
Continuity mistake: When Harry opens the letter from Sirius Black, he throws away the string that was tied around the letter. When it cuts, the string is back in his hand.
Revealing mistake: In the dining hall, when Dumbledore speaks to the students about the Triwizard Tournament, Hagrid is prominently seen in the background, but it's clearly not Robbie Coltrane in some of these shots and in other scenes throughout the film.
Audio problem: In the scene right before the champions enter the maze, Cedric Diggory hugs his father, Amos. When they pull away, Amos says, "That's my boy," but his lips aren't moving.
Answer: Not at all. In fact, David Heyman made the decision for his eyes to be blue in the films for him to be more scary! They felt that his red eyes in Sorcerer's Stone did not show enough emotion to make him an evil character. It was felt in Goblet of Fire that the light blue eyes would be perfect to show his evil in the moonlight, and they kept it on for later films.
