Other mistake: Lex is in the backstage area and is being chased by a guard. He is walking around carrying a piece of drum equipment and he trips over a cord and drops it. But when the camera shot changes back to him the cord is nowhere to be seen, therefore he really tripped over thin air.
Factual error: In the scene where Mystery is playing "Rock & Roll All Nite" in the basement, Hawk is playing an Epiphone Special II guitar. The movie is set in 1978, and this guitar did not hit the market until 1996.

Trivia: The blonde woman that Edward Furlong hooks up with in the bar is played by Shannon Tweed, the real-life partner of Gene Simmons from Kiss.
