Defending Your Life is a comedy starring Albert Brooks, Meryl Streep, Rip Torn and Shirley McClain among others about a man who has died in a car accident and has to cope with his feelings before he can ascend to a different, and possibly better, life. Things are complicated when characters come and go, past lives are revealed, and more of Albert Brooks' existence is scrutinized. Strange and sometimes uneven, Defending Your Life tries to bring Woody Allen-style humor to a tricky script.

Continuity mistake: When Daniel and Diamond are having lunch, Diamond is drinking some red drink and Daniel has water. Both glasses jump all over the table and the liquid levels change as well.

Daniel Miller: Is it Hell?
Bob Diamond: Nope, it isn't Hell either. Actually, there is no Hell. Although I hear Los Angeles is getting pretty close.
