Question: Why does Carmen answer Juni's question by saying "my feet stink?" Is this a reference to another movie?

Answer: In the 2nd Spy Kids film, when they can read each other's minds, Juni proves it by thinking Carmen's feet stink, at which point she smells her shoe and agrees.

Answer: This was a reference to the previous movie, in which a scene showed Juni and Carmen able to read each other's minds. In this scene, Juni told Carmen, through reading minds, that her feet stink. She said it because he wanted to be told something only Carmen would say.

Question: Why is Valantine (grandpa) talking to that butterfly after Arnold "kills" Dimetra? Does he know the butterfly is a direct connection to Sebastian's (toymaker's) surveillance? If this is the explanation, it makes no sense, as he can watch everything. It's so confusing. Could someone please explain it to me?

Answer: He wanted to say it directly to Valentine, he didn't know where the cameras where, but he did know that the butterfly was one so he went after it.

Plot hole: The Toymaker throws that toy bird at the hippie version of himself. The toy goes through him because he is a hologram. Later, he pushes the soldier version of himself at the screen making it crack. How could he if the three others are holograms?
