Continuity mistake: When Charlie and his partner are walking and discussing the lottery, the partner tears off a parking ticket for the same car twice.

Factual error: The entire court proceeding is inaccurate. Under New York state law, all property received during marriage is joint and several. Therefore Charlie has the right to give half (HIS half it turns out) to Yvonne. More strongly, the press is always called out for lottery winners to prevent these situations. The wife screwed herself when she agreed to have Yvonne at the check presentation which effectively shows her agreeing, albeit not happily, to the arrangement. Finally, to be even more picky, under New York state law, the person BUYING the ticket is the only owner and the other person must prove that the ticket was bought in trust for them (if it comes to litigation of-course). In most cases, people like the bowling team readily split the proceeds without a problem.

Plot hole: After the robbery scene, the partner sends in the other cops and says that there is another one inside. How did he know this? No one told him, and the other robber was obscured by shelves in the door so he could not be seen.

Other mistake: When the kids are getting off the bus after the baseball game, the bus is actually a reverse image (the door is on the wrong side of the bus and unloading on the wrong side of the street).

Revealing mistake: When Yvonne comes home to find her ex-husband in her apartment, he comes out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. He then goes and sits on the couch. At one point he uncrosses his legs and you get a flash of his underwear he's wearing underneath the towel.
