Corrected entry: I have watched the film's opening scene a dozen times or so, and I still can't really make out what is happening. Which arabs are shooting which? Are they all after Kirk Douglas or just some? Just how does Douglas character survive that explosion on a boat and after shooting Cassavetes' arm, manage to escape from the beach? Pretty much the story of the whole movie; looks good? Yes. Makes sense? Hardly.
The Fury (1978)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: Brian De Palma
Starring: Kirk Douglas, Charles Durning, Carrie Snodgress, John Cassavetes
Continuity mistake: When Gillian deliberately kills the woman with her powers in the bedroom, she has her arms and fingers tautly extended. In alternating shots, Gillian is shown from the front, then the woman is shown from behind one of Gillian's hands. As the shots switch back and forth, Gillian raises her hands to almost horizontal, yet in the shots of the woman her hand remains almost vertical.
Mother Nuckells: I'd say I'm pretty sound, considering the ravages o' time. For instance, I don't have the use of any more than one of my limbs or vital organs. Good thing the Lord God Jehovah built in so many spare parts.

Correction: All the Arabs are working for Cassavete's- though they might not know it. He did it so that he could film it and later use it to enfuriate the son. This would give him added hatred that they could use it against Arabs. Brainwashing. I can't explain the boat.
