After everyone dies but Sasha, the blonde and the detective, it emerges that Sasha is a big computer hacker who escaped inside the cube. The detective kills her and then the blonde kills him. The Hypercube collapses in on itself and she jumps through it. Then we find her coming out of a large pool of metallic liquid. She reports to some official looking men, then gets shot in the head.

Mrs. Paley: Oh, yes, yes. In a hypercube, there could be 60 million rooms.
Trivia: When Kate and Sasha are talking and Kate says "Please, you have to have some idea what this means.". At that time you can see an alien looking person moving reflected in the walls. It moves into view, stops for a second and moves out of view again. This is not Kate because she is standing on the other side of the room. There is also a quiet sound effect as it shows itself. Question: Can anyone please explain to me the end of this movie? Why did 'they' send an agent into the Cube? Was it just to get information from the hacker girl? Or to get her necklace? Why wouldn't they just kidnap her and shoot her with sodium pentathol? And who are the men at the end, and why do they shoot their own agent?

Answer: They sent the agent in to retrieve some sensitive information from the blind girl. The girl hid inside the hypercube as she knew they wouldn't come after her and by the time they figured out where she was it was too late to stop her and so they sent the agent in. They shot their own agent as the information she has is that sensitive that they can't let anyone know anything about it (even the fact that it exists).
