Continuity mistake: At the Christmas party, Ted kisses Donna. He places his hands on her shoulders. Then the camera angle changes, and his hands are on his lap - it happened too quickly for him to have moved them. (00:47:50)

Revealing mistake: The text of the newspaper article entitled "Stewart Joins Sobieski and Flynn" is about something else other than Ted joining the law firm. (01:20:00)

Visible crew/equipment: When Donna and her boyfriend leave his family's house in the end, in the front window of the house you can see a white van and film crew.

Continuity mistake: In the examination scene John (Mike Myers) places a Rubik's Cube on the desk in front of him. The camera angle then switches to overhead and the cube is not there. Then he shouts "Stop writing" and the cube is in front of him but further to his right than before.

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Donna flies as a captain, you can see on the throttle quadrant there are three levers for three engines. There are groups of four dials instead of three for engine temperatures and pressure, and they don't even show symmetric values for similar engines. Furthermore, the altimeter reads over 3000ft, equivalent to a landing in Switzerland or Peru. Finally, there are multiple red and yellow lights on the panel; these colors only come on as a warning like low cabin pressure or engine fire.

Plot hole: Christine would have never been allowed to approach Donna in the empty plane after she had been fired from the airline.

Factual error: In the end of the film, just before Donna is shown inside a cockpit as an airline pilot, there's a shot of her aircraft landing. She flies for Royalty Airlines, but you can see the blue, white, and red stripes of an American Airlines plane.

Revealing mistake: At several points, there's a really distinct difference in eye color between Mike Myers' (John) real eye and the color contact he has in his other eye.

Factual error: When Donna first gets to work First class, it is obvious that the plane she is in is a wide body airplane. However, when the plane is seen taking off, it is a narrow body Airbus.

Continuity mistake: When Donna gets her second test back from John Whitney, it jumps from her hand back to the desktop. It then appears in her hand again as she rises to leave.

Ral0618

Continuity mistake: When Ted is fixing Donna's bikini top with a bread fastener, he takes the fastener off the bread twice, once when he walks in the room and takes it off and throws the bread and then in the next shot, is a close up of him taking it off.

Pam-I-am

Other mistake: The same cockpit interior mock-up used for the propeller plane (Sierra) near the beginning of the movie is seen again as the Airbus jet at the very end.

Continuity mistake: When Donna is at Sally Westin's house discussing her test results, Sally has Donna's test papers in her hands. In the next shot, Donna's test papers are on Sally's desk. Sally gets up from her desk chair and walks around the desk to speak with Donna. When Sally walks back to sit down at her desk chair, Donna's test papers are no longer on the desk and have totally disappeared.

CARAMENTE22

Continuity mistake: When Donna is fighting Christine on the plane she smashes a bread with her front head several times but when the guards grab Christine the bread is more smashed.

Trivia: When Gwyneth Paltrow is meeting with Mike Myers to discuss her disappointment over being assigned to Royalty's commuter line, look at the photographs on the counter that the camera lingers on. Myers, whose character had a crossed eye, is seen in photographs with Sammy Davis, Jr., Marty Feldman, and Peter Falk, each of whom had well-known vision impairments (Davis and Falk each had a prosthetic eye, and Felman had a condition that caused his eyes to bulge).
