Continuity mistake: After Warren arrives at Roberta's they sit in the living room and drink. She gets up to deal with her ex-husband in the kitchen. Then she returns and picks up her drink before she sits down, and when she is sitting she picks it up again. (01:17:45)

Continuity mistake: When Warren gives his speech as the father of the bride and just says "...a companion, a partner..." he is taking the microphone in both hands. When the camera angle changes his left arm is hanging down as before. (01:45:10)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie Warren receives a painting by his foster child Ndugu, which shows him holding Ndugu's hand. In the two close-ups that show the painting there are some differences: e.g. the bellies are filled with more or less color, or Warren's mouth is drawn first quite crooked, then with a straight smile. Continuity mistake: In the wedding scene, Randall's boutonniere starts out as a closed off-white rosebud with arranged foliage. By the time he is reading his "and I mean every DAY" prose to Jeannie, the rose has changed color to peach, has opened, and the foliage is arranged completely differently.

Continuity mistake: When Warren walks to the motorhome for the surprise breakfast, the air is almost still. As soon as he steps inside, the bushes outside the window are now seen rocking rapidly in the wind.

Roberta Hertzel: People used to think it was strange 'cause I breast-fed him 'til he was almost five, but I say - hunh, just look at the results.

Trivia: In the scene where Warren Schmidt falls asleep in the bath, his posture is exactly like Marat in the painting 'Death of Marat', by J.L. David. You can take a look at the original at http://www.artchive.com/artchive/D/david/marat.jpg.html.

Question: When Randall takes a photo of Warren and Jeannie at the airport after the mother's funeral, what happens to the camera he uses? He seems to put it down on something behind Warren, but then walks past Warren to get his luggage. Warren walks forward toward the gate and isn't seen to pick anything up after saying goodbye. I guess he could have, but wouldn't it have been stolen by then if it was left behind? I didn't see Randall put it in a pocket or bag.

Answer: He could have picked it up. Besides, it may not have been stolen, but picked up by security, or otherwise taken to Lost and Found.
