Continuity mistake: When Plato and Sam are driving the van (right before they pass the elderly woman) you can clearly see they are driving through palm-tree Miami. But when it switches to the internal view, the greenscreen scenery shows mountainous pine forests.

Continuity mistake: In the swampboat chase scene, pay attention to the scenery right before Plato, Sam, and his daughter run into dry land. You'll notice that in one scene they are in the middle of the marshes, no land or large trees around, and in the next scene they are running aground on solid ground, surrounded by trees at least 20 feet tall.

Factual error: When Gary Busey is being chased by thugs, the burly black thug will accomplish feats of superhuman strength. You'll see him burst open a locked door with his shoulder, break through a tall wooden fence at walking pace, and literally push open a chained fence, snapping the chain effortlessly.

Trivia: Throughout the film they'll be a random dragonfly that continues to show up. Granted, this happens in the swampyland section of the film, but it is cool. The dragonfly first shows up when Plato's swampboat runs aground and grenades are thrown at it from a heli. As everything explodes, pause or slow-mo the film to see a beautiful dragonfly race across the film. Later on, when the German Shepard runs to Plato and his daughter at the end of the film, notice how the dragonfly makes its cameo again. It is almost artistic and almost seems intentional.
