Revealing mistake: Jeff Trent, Col. Edwards and Lt. Harper grab some guns and take a walk in the graveyard, and a prop tree almost falls over as Col. Edwards walks by and brushes up against it with his shoulder. (00:57:30)
Audio problem: In the graveyard, as Paula screams when Tor Johnson opens the car door, her mouth is not moving in sync with what we are hearing. (01:00:30)
Visible crew/equipment: Inside the alien spacecraft, a compassionate Tanna says to Eros, "Do we have to kill them?" The shadow of the boom mike can be seen moving on the left of the screen above their heads. (01:02:20)
Audio problem: Inside the alien spacecraft Jeff Trent shoots at the alien device and they overdub the sound of a bullet ricocheting off of a rock like in an old 50's western. (01:03:55)
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Eros shows the men the monitor, look at the monitor carefully and you can see the reflection of the studio lights. (01:04:15)
Revealing mistake: Inside the alien spacecraft a battery operated blinking traffic caution signal is used as a prop from another world. (01:04:50)
Deliberate mistake: In the alien spaceship, Eros speaks of the "Solarminite", Jeff Trent calls it "Solinite" and Col. Edwards calls it "Solar-inite". (01:05:55 - 01:07:50)
Continuity mistake: As Eros talks about the solaminite, the blinking light on the table in the alien spacecraft stops blinking between shots without anyone going near it. (01:07:10)
Deliberate mistake: After Tor Johnson attacks Paula and the police officer, a second officer shows up at the cemetery with half of the license plate on the patrol car taped over so it can't be read. (01:09:55)
Deliberate mistake: Whenever we see Vampira, they use the same footage, as she's always in the same place next to or near the wooden mausoleum. (01:10:15)
Continuity mistake: When the men first enter the spaceship, one of the windows shows an afternoon sky and the one next to it shows a nighttime sky. (01:11:20)
Revealing mistake: As Tor Johnson holds Paula, the police officer comes up from behind and clobbers him on the head with a wooden stick. He falls to the ground and the entire set including all the trees, shake like they were just in a magnitude 7 earthquake. (01:13:20)
Revealing mistake: After Tor Johnson drops Paula the police officer comes over to try to wake her. The carpet that's supposed to be the ground crumples under his feet. (01:13:25)
Audio problem: After Tor Johnson drops her, Paula says, "Oh, I'll be alright" but her lips don't move. (01:13:30)
Revealing mistake: When the flying saucers leave the planet, you can see their shadows on the fake planet's surface.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the scene where the pilot's wife, Paula, is almost attacked in her bedroom by (not) Bela Lugosi, look at the three pictures on the wall above the bed. One of the pictures changes, then changes back (occurs only in the colorized version).
Other mistake: The exhaust of the space ship is so strong that it knocks down Jeff and Paula to the ground, but their hair doesn't get changed at all.
Revealing mistake: The "Old man-ghoul" changes appearances drastically throughout the entire movie. In some scenes, it is Bela Lugosi in vampire cape, in others it is the famous "double" who is a head taller than Lugosi, a lot thinner and has a different hairstyle. He covers his face with his cape, but this does not help a lot...
Revealing mistake: After Clay finally has been killed, you can still see him breathing, and even blinking his eyes.
Plot hole: When the flying saucer first appears, it is supposed to be 4 AM. But the grave diggers are still there from the burial of Bela Lugosi's wife.
