Revealing mistake: When Homer is sitting outside (on a dock?) reading a letter from Dr. Larch you can see through the envelope and the letter because the white paper is thin. You can tell there are writings on the letter but it is equally obvious that the envelope is blank with no address written on it.
The Cider House Rules (1999)
1 revealing mistake - chronological order
Directed by: Lasse Hallström
Starring: Michael Caine, Charlize Theron, Paul Rudd, J.K. Simmons, Delroy Lindo, Tobey Maguire
Visible crew/equipment: When Homer follows Rose Rose inside after finding out she's pregnant, there is a visible "T" taped on the floor for him to stand on.
Candy Kendall: He volunteered. Jesus. Nobody volunteers for the Burma run. He said so himself. He just leaves me here. What does he want? He wants me to wait for him? Oh, God he knows me. He knows I'm not good at being alone. This was right. I know this was right.
Homer Wells: You're right. This was right.
Candy Kendall: Yeah.
Trivia: This is Charlize Theron's second movie with Delroy Lindo, although their first movie together, Devil's Advocate (1997) didn't have any scenes of them together.
Question: Is it ever revealed why Candy has the abortion? She is in a relationship with the baby's father, they both have jobs, etc. Is it because she doesn't want to raise the baby herself while he's at war?

Answer: She was not married to the baby's father, which would have been an absolute stigma at the time.
