Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)

Visible crew/equipment: When Goldmember is escaping with Nigel Powers, he kicks Foxy in the face. At the bottom center of the screen, a man's hands flip the fake leg to kick Foxy in the face. (00:32:40)

Continuity mistake: Austin is in 2002 with his new teeth. He goes back in time to 1975 to find his father and he has the old teeth again. He goes back to 2002 with Foxxy Cleopatra, but he still has the bad teeth. (00:36:45)

Continuity mistake: Whenever there is a scene inside the submarine, you can see that the front is just Dr. Evil's face sticking out from the wall. However, from the shots outside the submarine, you can see that there is a whole head connected to the neck instead of sticking out of the wall. (00:39:15)

Continuity mistake: The first time we see Dr. Evil in his submarine, he is looking through the periscope. When he steps back, we see his eyes are brown. His eyes are blue throughout the rest of the movie. (00:39:20)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Goldmember peels a big chunk of skin from his shoulder and eats it, you see the skin he's holding is almost transparent. The scene then cuts to Dr. Evil and back to Goldmember, and the skin he puts in his mouth is now brown/dark green. (00:40:05)

Continuity mistake: When they "lower the globe" you can see the sub is not on there at first then in the next shot it is. (00:41:10)

Continuity mistake: When the globe falls on Dr. Evil's head it should be shattered at the bottom. But if you look closely at the globe as it is lying on the floor seconds later you can clearly see a perfectly round hole where Dr. Evil's head was made to fit into it. (00:41:20)

Other mistake: In the scene where Dr Evil and Goldmember are in the submarine, they get two henchmen to bring out Nigel Powers from his cell. Just before Nigel explains to the henchmen how he's going to beat them up, if you look through the glass face of the submarine just behind Nigel's head, you can see a fake fish dangling past on a string. Factual error: When Austin Powers lands in Tokyo, the subtitle reads "Toyko International Airport." This is fixed in the Infinifilm DVD version. (00:44:40)

Continuity mistake: In the scene when Austin is in the laundry basket, sumo wrestlers put their diapers in the basket. Black, gold,and Fat Bastard's diapers are the colors although when Austin smells Fat Bastard's diaper, to the right to him is a silver diaper. No sumo wrestler put a silver one in there. (00:46:35)

Factual error: After Fat Bastard's sumo match he goes to the toilet -- a Western style toilet. The sumo arena, especially the locker room area, would be traditionally Japanese. There is no way that a Western style, sit down toilet would be found there. What we should see is a silhouette of Fat Bastard squatting down over a Japanese style toilet which is like a trough in the floor. (00:48:00)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dr. Evil tells everyone to get out of the room, Dr. Evil and Scott both fold their legs and look at Mini Me. in the next scene, their legs are both unfolded. (00:52:05)

Continuity mistake: When Austin enters the room with the fountain in the factory, he kicks out the power cord. Every shot that you see with the power cord in it, the cord is in a different position every time. (00:55:20)

Continuity mistake: In the room with the fountain in the factory, there is a plant next to each of the 3 doors (Research, Offices and Factory). There is a plant to the right of the office door. But when one of the guards enters (and also Foxxy later), the plant is not there. (00:57:05)

Factual error: Just after Austin recollects what Mini Me did last time he used the peace symbol, they both smash bottles to use for fighting. Austin grabs his out of a gift basket and Mini Me grabs his out of the mini fridge. Considering the location of both Austin and Mini Me's bottles, shouldn't liquid come out of the bottles because they are new? (01:03:40)

Continuity mistake: When Austin is beating up poor little Mini Me, he smashes Mini Me through the glass table and it shatters. Even though there are two tables in the room it's the glass table that you can see through the screen door. But then they show a clip of the "Mole" guy talking to Basil on the phone with the table on the right side of the screen perfectly intact. (01:04:25)

Plot hole: When Austin and his father Nigel disagree as to how to proceed after Goldmember gets away, they part ways. So why does Austin take his father's car? (01:06:25)

Other mistake: When Austin, MiniMe and Foxxy are in Nigel's Mini, MiniMe is communicating to them with written notes. When he writes the first note to Austin, Austin reads it with the written words facing the camera. He is reading the back of the page where no words exist. Also, the words are upside down when facing the camera. In slo-mo, we can see the hand-off of the paper from Mini Me to Austin and how the front, top written on side of the paper ends up facing the camera and upside down. There is no way that Austin can read what is on the page. The paper is not thin enough to be read through as one other person has claimed. Foxy receives a note from Mini Me and we cannot read through the paper that is handed her. (01:08:30)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Austin Powers is on Mini Me's shoulders, Austin picks up and throws a henchman's sailor hat in the air. It lands in a very visible spot, but when there is a close-up on Mini Me's legs, the hat is gone. It shows up again right after that. (01:11:00)

Continuity mistake: When Austin and Mini Me are doing the famous shadow scene in this movie, Mini Me blows up a rubber glove and as you can see Austin has his back facing the camera, but when they show the shadow they are casting Austin is facing the opposite way. (01:13:15)
