Visible crew/equipment: When the lawyer first realises that Jack has taken Natalie hostage, the light screen is reflected in his glasses. (00:34:00)
Continuity mistake: When Macho Man is playing on the radio there is a dark coloured object just outside Natalie's window. This is not visible any other time. (00:40:10)
Continuity mistake: Jack rips the car phone out and chucks it over his shoulder. Next shot it is back in his hand. (00:43:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When Anthony Kiedis is talking to Flea in the monster truck, a camera is reflected in his sunglasses. (00:44:10)
Visible crew/equipment: When we first see the police barricading the border to Mexico, there is a SWAT van. When the camera goes past the van, the camera is reflected in the paint work. (00:45:40)
Visible crew/equipment: In the highway chase scene where the green monster truck rolls on it's side and slides down the road, you can see the truck is rolling on dolly wheels attached to its side. (00:50:05)
Continuity mistake: Just as the monster truck blows up, all the traffic that was right by it has disappeared instantly. (00:50:20)
Continuity mistake: When Natalie is telling Jack that she believes him, Jack's collar is blowing in the wind in some shots but perfectly still in the next shot. (00:52:10)
Continuity mistake: At the end when Jack is arrested, there is a shot of him with his chin on the red BMW. Camera changes and he's about two feet away from the car. (01:16:45)
Continuity mistake: Just before Natalie and Jack have sex in the BMW it is blue sky outside, Jack sees the sign for the Mexican border being 10 miles away then the camera shows the speedometer reading 90mph, therefore they would be at the Mexican border in under 7 minutes (unless they went a different route which they wouldn't want to do because they are being chased by the police) however in the next scene presumably after the sex it is dark outside and they still have 1 mile left (approximately) till they reach the road block at the border, surely the sun doesn't go down THAT fast.
Continuity mistake: During the car chase scene you see the same building on the passenger side of the road several times (It is the only building like it in Houston where it was filmed). So if the car was on a straight highway it wouldn't be passing the same building over and over.
Continuity mistake: There is a shot of a police car shown with vomit on it before the scene where Kristy Swanson vomits from the passenger side window.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the entire film the positions of cars in relation to the BMW change.
Continuity mistake: Kristy Swanson vomits from the passenger side window of her car; the resulting mess ends up on the windshield of the ill-defined musical sensation turned actor Henry Rollins' police car. The incredible force of Ms. Swanson's projectile vomiting notwithstanding, as the chase progresses, Mr. Rollins' windshield becomes magically squeegee clean!
Revealing mistake: The BMW crashes through a metal gate at the border but does not suffer as much as a scratch.
Continuity mistake: Shortly after Jack takes Natalie hostage, during the early part of the chase through town, they keep showing brief close-ups of her face where she's not wearing a hat. This is before she loses her hat out the window of the car while getting carsick.
Continuity mistake: When the female hostage talks to the kidnapper, the window of the car is open when the shot was taken from outside the car. However, the window is closed whenever it was filmed from the interior of the car. This can be seen throughout the whole movie.
Revealing mistake: When the BMW joins the freeway, the cop car follows. If you look, you can see planks for the cop car to go up the curb safely.
Revealing mistake: Throughout some of the more dramatic scenes in the car, like skidding round corners and narrowly missing other cars, you can see it is not Charlie Sheen at the wheel.
