Continuity mistake: Ian and Ivan start trading blows with the referee looking at them kinda frightened in the corner, both arms over the top rope. Next shot and he's watching the same exchange but with his hands down. (01:28:55)
Continuity mistake: Soon in the Ian vs Ivan fight the two end up on the ground exchanging kicks. Kelly is at ringside; her hair is in a different position on the lapel of her jacket between shots. (01:28:45)
Audio problem: Ian gets in the ring to obviously canned crowd cheers preceded by a completely unnatural pause with the boos drowned out. (01:28:20)
Continuity mistake: Scott and Ian get in the ring to carry Frank away. Dean is holding the second ring up with his right arm, which becomes the left at the cut. (01:27:30)
Continuity mistake: The time jumps ahead from 1:23 to 1:14 when Van Damme throws his second opponent in the ropes wrestling-style. (01:27:20)
Continuity mistake: In his fight with Sugarfoot Peter Cunningham, Van Damme unbalances him right away and starts kicking him while he staggers to the ropes. The clock shows 1:52 to the end of the round, but in the mere space of a kick (and a camera cut) it jumped to 1:48. (01:26:35)
Continuity mistake: Dean flies off the ring when the ringside clock is at 1:07 and lands at 1:03. That's a pretty long fly, even if it was a spinning kick from Van Damme to knock you off your feet. The ref then calls the match off when the countdown is at 1:04. (01:25:35)
Continuity mistake: The Karate Fight Emcee motions the two teams to get quiet after their ring entrance. He does it holding the arena microphone in his left hand, which becomes his right hand all of a sudden, since the left is holding his cue card. (01:19:05)
Continuity mistake: Waiting for the match to begin, Kelly tells her cute friend "That was so much fun last night" as some dweeb stares at them. The chair next to Kelly is empty, and will be in other shots by the same angle, but in wider views there's a girl on that seat. (01:16:35)
Continuity mistake: When the "Seattle Sidekicks" get on the ring apron, Kelly is standing in the first shot, already seated in the next shot. (01:18:55)
Continuity mistake: In the locker room before the fight, Ian tells Frank and the others "Warm up well, guys." The other person is taping his wrist in the first shot, his palm in the next, and back to the wrist at the cut. (01:17:05)
Revealing mistake: The TV commentators for the final fight sit at their table with bleachers in the background, but the other shots of the 'arena' show it's nothing more than a gym with everyone sitting at the same level. (01:16:20)
Factual error: For the climax of the movie, the bad guy arrives from New York to Seattle, and hops on a limo with a California license plate. (01:14:20)
Other mistake: Throughout the dance club sequence, Kelly in several shots, from the very opening when she is in the background, up until everyone gets on the dancefloor, can be spotted with a guy standing next to her in a shirt similar to the protagonist's. But she has no date for and she came with a couple of girlfriends. (01:10:00)
Revealing mistake: RJ does some breakdance routine before inviting everyone on the dancefloor. As he does the final kip-up, the white dude in blackface who bodydoubles him nearly loses his wig. (01:11:40)
Continuity mistake: When RJ slides into the dancefloor after the interpretative dance routine of the couple in red, he does it right away in the closer view, but in the wider angle he starts more from afar, and Jason is clapping instead of standing all stoic with his arms folded. (01:11:10)
Continuity mistake: In the establishing shot of the disco joint where a couple is breakdancing, notice in the audience a guy with a purple and teal gym jacket and pants. Later the protagonist and his sidekick park their car and as they walk towards the entrance, here's that same guy just now arriving as well. Same goes for other extras like the girl with fuchsia shirt and white pants. (01:09:50)
