Continuity mistake: When Jason is trying to kick a sandbag whilst one leg is suspended in a noose, the sand bag starts the scene about waist high, then is hoisted to the ceiling by Bruce Lee. Jason succeeds in hitting the bag in the next shot, but the bag is back at waist height. (01:03:35)
Continuity mistake: Sensei Lee tells Jason some mumbo-jumbo about seeing the impossible to make it happen. When he says "And know it can't be stopped" the light of the scene is different, going more or less from night to day. (01:03:45)
Continuity mistake: Jason finally kicks the suspended bag. He frees his foot from the noose, but he's in a different position and different is the height his leg is at and the band that tightens the noose. Even the photography and/or lighting, for no reason. (01:03:55)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bruce Lee is teaching Jason how to kick while his other foot is being held in a noose, Jason is wearing a grey jumper and black pants, however a shot is shown of Jason tightening the noose around his ankle while wearing a yellow tank top and a wrist band. Cut back to Jason and Bruce talking and not only is Jason wearing his grey top again but the noose has somehow managed to loosen itself. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: This mistake is in the scene where Jason finally manages to kick the sandbag with his foot in the noose. Before Jason performs the kick, there is a clear knot in the rope, however, in the slow motion shot, the rope is not knotted. Afterwards, the knot is back. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: When RJ sits on Jason's midriff he is eating a Popsicle with chocolate on it but in the next shot the chocolate its completely gone. (01:05:30)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jason does his own training by kicking and dodging the moving sandbags hanging down, he finishes by kicking each bag individually. Look closely - one of the bags is only being held together by a thread, so when Jason kicks it, the bag splits open quite easly. (01:06:45)
Continuity mistake: Mr. Stillwell limps his way into the parking lot after work, his jacket on his shoulder. He gets blindsided by an ugly dude who punches him away and...the jacket is gone, lost forever, not on the ground, just vanished. (01:08:00)
Continuity mistake: When Karate Man is attacked by Coca Cola shirt, Fat Guy with a Mullet grabs him from behind. His right arm is above the aggressor's, but in the next shot it's into his clutch. (01:08:15)
Continuity mistake: Karate Man is surrounded by a bunch of awfully looking guys in the parking lot. The dude with the sponsor's shirt begins to attack him charging his right fist. Next shot and attacks with a left hook. (01:08:15)
Continuity mistake: Jason beats the 4 slobs outside of the bar and sends them away running. The shadow of the parked trailer changes angle between shots as he walks back to his dad. (01:09:25)
Continuity mistake: In the establishing shot of the disco joint where a couple is breakdancing, notice in the audience a guy with a purple and teal gym jacket and pants. Later the protagonist and his sidekick park their car and as they walk towards the entrance, here's that same guy just now arriving as well. Same goes for other extras like the girl with fuchsia shirt and white pants. (01:09:50)
Continuity mistake: When RJ slides into the dancefloor after the interpretative dance routine of the couple in red, he does it right away in the closer view, but in the wider angle he starts more from afar, and Jason is clapping instead of standing all stoic with his arms folded. (01:11:10)
Continuity mistake: Waiting for the match to begin, Kelly tells her cute friend "That was so much fun last night" as some dweeb stares at them. The chair next to Kelly is empty, and will be in other shots by the same angle, but in wider views there's a girl on that seat. (01:16:35)
Continuity mistake: In the locker room before the fight, Ian tells Frank and the others "Warm up well, guys." The other person is taping his wrist in the first shot, his palm in the next, and back to the wrist at the cut. (01:17:05)
Continuity mistake: When the "Seattle Sidekicks" get on the ring apron, Kelly is standing in the first shot, already seated in the next shot. (01:18:55)
Continuity mistake: The Karate Fight Emcee motions the two teams to get quiet after their ring entrance. He does it holding the arena microphone in his left hand, which becomes his right hand all of a sudden, since the left is holding his cue card. (01:19:05)
Continuity mistake: Dean flies off the ring when the ringside clock is at 1:07 and lands at 1:03. That's a pretty long fly, even if it was a spinning kick from Van Damme to knock you off your feet. The ref then calls the match off when the countdown is at 1:04. (01:25:35)
Continuity mistake: In his fight with Sugarfoot Peter Cunningham, Van Damme unbalances him right away and starts kicking him while he staggers to the ropes. The clock shows 1:52 to the end of the round, but in the mere space of a kick (and a camera cut) it jumped to 1:48. (01:26:35)
Continuity mistake: The time jumps ahead from 1:23 to 1:14 when Van Damme throws his second opponent in the ropes wrestling-style. (01:27:20)
