Continuity mistake: As the evil spirit's hawk circles Kim and Jason, Secret Bear and Friend Bear can be seen standing several feet apart near the cliff's edge. But between shots, they move within inches of each other. (00:45:55)
Continuity mistake: As the cloud clipper approaches the far end of the cave, Funshine and Share Bear can be seen at the starboard front and back, respectively. After Funshine says "I see light up ahead," the two bears have changed positions. (00:43:30)
Continuity mistake: After the Care Bears sing "Home Is In Your Heart", Nicholas is seen casting spells over a cauldron inside the castle beside an empty podium. In the next shot, the evil spirit's book suddenly appears on the podium. (00:33:35)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is passed out in the magic trunk, he comes to when the evil spirit calls his name. On the poster in the background, "amazing" & "magician" are initially on their own separate lines. As the scene progresses, the two words can be seen grouped together on one line and then two lines in alternating shots. (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: After Grumpy Bear finds a star buddy in the rainbow rescue beam, he releases it into the air while holding a wrench in his left hand. In the next shot, the wrench has disappeared. (00:10:15)
Continuity mistake: When Fetuccini places the last pair on his house of cards, there is a 2 of Spades in his left hand. As the two cards collapse, one lands on the table and the 2 of Spades becomes a 7 of Clubs. Suddenly, Nicholas is shown struggling with the magic trunk and, in the next shot, the other card has disappeared from the table. (00:07:15)
Continuity mistake: When Baby Tugs reaches out and touches the rainbow rescue beam's buttons to see if they'll make square bubbles, he's initially seen reaching out with his right hand. In the next shot we see Tugs' left hand pushing the buttons. (00:11:05)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason are being pursued by Nicholas in the fun house, they begin running down a red staircase which changes into a slide. In the background is a painted face with seven teeth, one of which has a hole in it. As Nicholas slides down the staircase, the painting now has six teeth free of any holes. (00:55:00)
Continuity mistake: When Treat Heart Pig is introduced during the song, she can be seen holding berries in her right hand; but as she begins running towards the other Care Bear Cousins, the berries disappear. (00:48:35)
Continuity mistake: When the Care Bears and Cousins are sailing down the river, Tenderheart exclaims "We're going for a ride!" In the next shot, Bright Heart Raccoon can be seen perched on the ship's helm. However, he isn't supposed to appear there until the ship exits the cave. (00:42:50)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Fetuccini attempts to teach Nicholas card tricks, the poster on the wall behind Fetuccini is misspelled as "The Great Fetuccni". After Nicholas drops his deck on the floor, Fetuccini begins to laugh. When they reach down to collect the deck we see that Fetuccini's hand of cards has disappeared. (01:06:45)
Continuity mistake: As the cloud clipper is rotating in the evil spirit's whirlpool, Wish Bear ties a rope around the star buddy and tosses it into the air for Lotsa Heart Elephant to catch on shore. As the clipper is being hauled from the whirlpool, Wish Bear runs to the starboard side. However, in the next shot, she can be seen at the bow peering into the star-o-scope. (00:37:40)
Continuity mistake: After the cloud clipper first appears from beneath Care-a-Lot's river, Wish Bear, Love-a-Lot and Tenderheart jump on board (in that sequence) upon a rainbow bridge with four colors: red, orange, yellow and green. In the next shot, blue is added the rainbow's color sequence and two of the bears are shown entering in the wrong order (Tenderheart now appears behind Wish Bear and Love-a-Lot is trailing in the back). As soon as everyone is aboard, the rainbow colors reverse themselves before the bridge disappears. (00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: During the introduction, Wish Bear is using a star-o-scope to observe Earth from Care-a-Lot. All of a sudden, she spots Kim & Jason and begins to make her way down a rainbow slide. In the next shot, a green mount is affixed to the scope which wasn't previously there. (00:02:50)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie, the painting of Fetuccini's image on the side of the trailer has eyes alternating from closed to open. (00:14:50 - 00:51:05)
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Cherrywood is finished telling the children a story, the clock on the wall behind him instantly changes from twenty past 9 to thirty-five past 12 after placing his magician's top hat near the lamp. (01:10:25)
Continuity mistake: When Fetuccini awakens from his sleeping spell, he opens the trailer door and begins describing a dream to Nicholas. However, in the next shot, that door had completely disappeared from its hinges. (01:05:40)
Continuity mistake: As the Care Bear family is running along the blue sky chasing Tenderheart during "In a Care Bear Family", Birthday Bear is absent from the group. When we see everybody standing in line clapping their hands in the next shot, the camera pans right and he is seen standing third-to-last as the song winds down. (01:08:45)
Continuity mistake: During the opening song, Secret Bear and Friend Bear are getting ready to take off for Earth in a cloud mobile when they're halted by the star buddy traffic controller with a whistle. The striped post beside the star buddy circles upwards. However, when the bears are signaled to proceed, the post is now circling downwards. (00:03:45)
