Corrected entry: In the scene where young Norman kills the horny young girl, as he's talking to Mother, she can be seen moving and even blinking her eyes when the camera's at her back, yet at this point in the movie, she's been murdered and placed back in her bed. Clearly the actress missed the memo.
Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: Mick Garris
Starring: Henry Thomas, Anthony Perkins, Olivia Hussey, CCH Pounder
Deliberate mistake: In the whole of the 'Psycho' series, there has never been a closet door next to the dress cabinet in Mother's room, but for this movie there is suddenly a closet.
Norman Bates: Oh, I've killed before, and now I'm gonna have to do it again.
Question: Given Connie's a psychologist and knows Norman's state of mind, why would she marry him and also trick him into getting her pregnant?
Answer: Norman is mentally stable in this film. Connie and Norman fell in love during his institutionalization. After being deemed sane and released, they were married. Norman is afraid to have children because he doesn't want to pass on his psychosis. Connie believes that with proper care, their child won't end up like Norman, and plans to become pregnant.

Correction: This is far too obvious to have been missed by the actors, director, editor, etc. It is intentional. We first see it from Norman's perspective, and to him, through his eyes, mother is still alive. Then we see it from the opposite angle, and we see the scene for what it really is.
