Continuity mistake: After 1st Sgt. Milton Warden breaks the bottle to stop the fight between Pvt. Angelo Maggio and Sgt. James R. "Fatso" Judson, he throws the bottle in a corner. In the next shot, he's sitting down with the broken bottle on the table in front of him.
Factual error: As the first wave of Japanese bombers approach the harbor, there is a brief shot of Pearl Harbor. In the background an aircraft can be seen. There were no carriers in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
Continuity mistake: During the fight scene between Pvt. Prewitt and Sgt. Ike Galovitch, the Sgt. in charge of the detail, Sgt. Thornhill, runs off to inform Sgt. Warden of the fight. However, between the time he runs off and returns he is seen in the close circle around the fight. (01:20:45)
