Corrected entry: When Commodore Schmidlapp (Penguin in disguise) walks around exclaiming "Extraordinary", about seeing the Batcave, he seems to have forgotten about being there before. It happened along with the Joker in "The Penguin Declines" (S2 EP39).

Movie Nut

Correction: The movie takes place between the first and second seasons, so he hasn't been there yet.

Corrected entry: If the dehydration machine really did what it was supposed to, the leaders would not be reduced to powder, their body would still be intact, but would have no trace of liquid in their body, which would simply kill them.

Correction: If the shark really did what it's supposed to, Batman would have no leg. The show is a comedy intended to be a farce, utterly ridiculous. It has no basis in reality.

johnrosa

Corrected entry: Batman and Robin enter the Batboat at the jetty, yet moments later, when they are on the ocean, there is no sign of land behind them whatsoever. (00:19:40)

Correction: The shots are not continuous time.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Robin discovers no yacht in the picture, Batman says as you truly remarked, no one can make a sea going vessel disappear. Robin never stated that the yacht disappeared. A reporter asked Batman about the disappearing yacht at the news conference, after the shark attack, and Batman responds how can a yacht simply disappear? (00:18:55)

Correction: It has been hours since they were at the hologram yacht. I'm sure it's possible that at one time off camera Robin made the comment "No one can make a sea going vessel disappear".

Foinlavin

Corrected entry: How do none of the world leaders notice 4 supercriminals turning the others into dehydrated dust? Even when the one from the UK is left he is still arguing.

Correction: I think that's sort of the point. They squabble so much (like the UN) that they have no clue what is going on around them.

Continuity mistake: When the Batmobile is going to park (before the bomb scene) there is a sign saying "Mobey Dick Parking Only". When he is later carrying the bomb and passes by the Batmobile the sign is not there.

Answer: The timeline of the movie is important to consider. The 1966 film began production while season 1 of the TV series was being aired. Eartha Kitt didn't play Catwoman until season 3. According to the TV show "Biography", Newmar was suffering from a back injury and unable to reprise her role for the movie. But she was able to recover by the time they started shooting the 2nd season. So, for the movie they hired Meriweather.

Answer: Of the three actresses that portrayed Catwoman, Julie Newmar was the first in the TV series and Eartha Kitt assumed the role after Newmar became unavailable. Lee Meriwether played the character in the movie. All were "guest stars," not regular cast members, so their availability would constantly change as they did other TV shows, movies, plays, etc. Show creator William Dozier originally wanted to first film and release a feature-length Batman movie, using it like a pilot, to introduce the Batman character, then launch the TV show based on it. However, the studio, 20th Century Fox, wanted the TV series first, so the movie was delayed until after the successful first season. During the movie's filming timeframe, Newmar was unavailable (various reasons have been reported about why she did not reprise the role) and Meriwether was cast.
