Continuity mistake: Rosalind goes to the bandstand to play the trumpet. The trumpet player is seen standing up, handing her the instrument. Cut to the same man also seen sitting & shrugging at the pianist. Cut back to him standing. (00:45:00)

Continuity mistake: When Alan is fixing his car in the garage and Ambrose comes down to taunt him, his adjustable spanner is 'open' by approx. 10mm. In close-up shots, it is virtually closed and opens up again on the wider shots. (00:47:48 - 00:49:32)

Continuity mistake: When Ambrose and Rosalind are sat outside the pub, you see Ambrose walking over with an amber-coloured full pint, and a full glass of water. When he arrives at the table, the pint glass is half full, looking like a dark mild/stout, and the glass of water is only two-thirds full. (00:53:47)

Continuity mistake: After the two children walk away after dropping their ice cream on the zebra crossing all trace off the ice cream has disappeared from the road.

Continuity mistake: When Rosalind is sitting at the table outside the pub with a hangover her headache tablets disappear from the table.

Continuity mistake: After an argument, the four decide to have ice creams together. As they converse, the quantities of ice cream on the cones goes up as well as down.

Continuity mistake: When Alan is first stopped by the motorcycle policeman there are three cars on the road behind him, as Alan pulls over none of them pass him, but a truck does that was not in the previous shot.

Continuity mistake: The day after the race Alan and Wendy are sitting at a table outside a pub - Alan's beer is on the table but when the angle changes when Ambrose sounds his horn, Alan's beer is now in his hand - it has changed colour and there is less of it in his glass.

Trivia: Towards the end of the race, they stop outside a pub, which has ten minutes before it opens. This pub is on the corner of the High Street and Station Approach in West Drayton, and would not be on the journey between Brighton and Westminster Bridge, London. It was likely used as it is fairly close to Pinewood Studios, approx. 5 miles away. (01:11:41 - 01:16:18)
