Other mistake: When Peejoe is playing with his string you can see three spots of stuff in the shot. The camera lens must have been dirty because the spots stay in the same place in the frame until the split screen comes in with Lucille. (00:34:05)

Continuity mistake: When the sheriff has Lucille at the jail she tells him about the horrible things her boyfriend did to her. During the conversation she is rubbing up and down on a bar. When the camera is facing Lucille the bar is round and the same size as the bars in the shot. When the camera is facing the sheriff it is a different bar, a smaller square shaped bar. (00:35:55)

Revealing mistake: Check the scene in slow motion when Peejoe's eye gets damaged by a stone flying off from a lawn mower. The eye doesn't get hurt in the shot when it is hit by the stone, and a close-up shot of the flying stone is reversed, i.e. it's actually flying into and not out of the lawn mower, in an angle where it couldn't be just popping up and down. (00:41:00)

Factual error: Peejoe gets his eye operated on under full anesthesia, but he is neither intubated nor has any needle attached to his veins. (00:41:15)

Factual error: When Lucille wins $32,400 at the casino she is paid in 16 packs of $20 bills. This equals $32,000. The $400 is missing from the money the cage cashier slid to her. The $400 should/would have been loose money, but all the money she received was strapped. (00:41:40)

luchador

Revealing mistake: When Peejoe gets hit in the eye by the rock flying from the lawnmower the rock is coming from an angle that is not possible. Based on the angle of the handlebars of the mower it is to Peejoe's left on the right side of the screen. The rock flies at his right eye from off the left side of the screen. (00:42:35)

luchador

Factual error: When Lucille meets her driver Norman for the first time she reads his name on a name plate from a distance that requires superhuman vision. (00:42:35)

Continuity mistake: After Peejoe gets hit by the rock he begins to fall backwards. In the closer up shot his legs are staggered with his right leg underneath him and his left leg out front. When the camera moves to a wider shot his legs are side by side. A third shot shows his left leg straight out in front of him as he falls. He had also fallen half the way down on the closer up shot before they moved to the wide shot. In the wide shot he was back to being more upright and falling. (00:42:40)

luchador

Continuity mistake: When the black community marches to the pool in broad daylight you hear Taylor's father's speech at the poolside already in voice-over. Then it cuts over to the arrival at the pool, and it is totally dark. The plot doesn't suggest that the march was interrupted somewhere. (00:45:40)

Factual error: In the scene where Taylor Jackson's father leads the march to the public pool at night, it is lit with several underwater lights. Underwater swimming pool lights were invented in 1980, well after the time period in which this film is set. (00:47:25)

Continuity mistake: When a photographer takes a shot of a black girl bumping into Peejoe their movement is halted to indicate the moment when the picture is taken, and they look into opposite directions. Then the picture is shown, and here they both look into the camera. (00:48:00)

NancyFelix

Revealing mistake: When the black community gets beaten up by the police at the swimming pool you see in slow motion that some of the running victims have a lot of fun. (00:48:00)

NancyFelix

Continuity mistake: When the people rush out of the pool when the police arrive the water is wildly agitated. A moment later, when Taylor's brother slowly goes back into the water it is totally calm. (00:48:30)

Visible crew/equipment: When Lucille arrives in Hollywood, Norman opens the car door. You can see the reflection of the camera man, the filming crew and someone holding a boom microphone in the car door. (00:51:50)

luchador

Audio problem: When the black lady informs Reverend Jackson about Peejoe her lips do not match what she is saying. This is most obvious when we hear the word "remember". (01:03:10)

luchador

Continuity mistake: When Lucille and Harry Hall drive up the mountains and stop at a vista point they drive across a stretched, rather even area. When the camera angle changes there is a hill behind the car, and there is no road or even dirt road where they came from. (01:03:50)

Continuity mistake: When Joan leaves the room with the hat box the lid of the hat box is sitting at a 45 degree angle. When Lucille comes in to get the hat box the lid is laying down flat. (01:10:25)

luchador

Continuity mistake: After Joan discovers Chester's head in the hat box she closes the lid of the container. The container is sitting flat in the hat box at this time. A few seconds later when Lucille returns to it the container is sitting tilted in the hat box. (01:10:25)

luchador

Continuity mistake: When Joan leaves the room with the hat box the box is sitting on the bed with the front edge of the box in the center of the overlap of the curtains. When Lucille returns to recover the hat box a few seconds later the hat box has moved to the left about 6 inches and is to the left of the overlap of the curtains. (01:10:25)

Assistant at Bewitched: You're wanted on the set.
Lucille: Honey, I'm wanted in seven states.
