Plot hole: Spoiler: At the end of the film we learn that the girl is the wild animal, having been saved by the same doctor. Yet at the restaurant she is wearing a bare back dress and does not have the giant X-like scar on her back, like he has or the model has, who the doctor marries at the end.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin goes after the fish in the fishtank at the shelter, his shirt gets completely soaked. For the remainder of the scene his shirt changes from being totally soaked to somewhat soaked and then back again.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin's car is falling over the cliff after the encounter with the seal, about half way down the hill you can see the front hood of the car come cleanly off and away from the car, but in the next scene it is still on the car.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin walks Rianna home after dinner, she stands in front of her door and crosses her arms asking him if he wants to come in. The camera angles from the front show her arms crossed, the ones from the back show her arms at her side. Happens throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: The chip basket in front of Marvin at the restaurant changes from being on its side in one scene to normal the next.
Visible crew/equipment: At the start of the film when Rob goes for his morning jog you can see a pad behind his left shoulder where he is supposed to get attacked by the dog.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin walks into the shelter, Rianna picks up a dog and has a pen in her other hand. She turns to walk to the back of the shelter and she no longer has the pen in her hand.
Factual error: When Rob catches the Colombian guy with the drugs, the police officer tastes the drugs. In real life, a police officer would never taste drugs, because it could be something else, such as cyanide.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin is telling the girl that she has to leave before it gets dark, the camera angle from the front shows him holding her arm one way and the camera angle from the back show it another. Happens about 4 times in a row.
Continuity mistake: When the girl comes to Marvin's house and he's built the beaver's nest, when she walks into the garage he's still at the doorway, but when she asks what he has been doing, he is now clear across the room in front of her.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin grabs the 2 doughnuts from the captain's office he finishes the first one and when the captain gives him the sketch, he grabs it with both hands. The other doughnut is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When the mob is surrounding Marvin and the girl yelling for his death, he grabs the girl to protect her and everytime the camera angle changes, he's holding her differently.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin is talking to Rianna at his house, he grabs a stick and starts to bite it. Rianna makes him stop and then in the next camera shot it has disappeared from his hands. He never put it down.
Continuity mistake: The amount of powder from the doughnuts Marvin eats changes on his shirt from more to less and then back again throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Rob Schneider's car first flies off the cliff, it eventually comes to a halt, before falling down some more. In the first halt scene, there is a huge target shaped crack in the window. In the next shot (one of the car falling down backwards) the crack is gone.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin is at the bar celebrating becoming a cop, the beer in his glass has foam in one shot then none, then foam again.
Continuity mistake: When the car is crashing, in the long shot it looks like Rob's arm is hanging out of the car window. But when the shot is from the inside of the car, Rob doesn't have his arm hanging out.
Continuity mistake: When Marvin is packing his stuff at the station after getting fired, he reaches into his pocket to pull out the newspaper clipping about his dad. The clipping he's looking at is not the same shape as the paper he pulled out of his pocket.
Audio problem: When Marvin is being attacked by the monkey (while the girl is talking about how nice it is) you can clearly hear the sound of the monkey hitting him long before it makes contact.
Continuity mistake: In the scene after Marvin fails the police physical, at a bar Sgt. Sisk is doing an impression of Marvin falling off the wall. He has a cigar in his hand, but in the close up afterwards it has vanished.
