Revealing mistake: When Tripp talks to James in the Gaskells' garden it is snowing quite a lot in the distance, but only very little at the place where they are standing. (00:14:15)
Revealing mistake: Michael Douglas pulls up to the curb to park his car. When he opens his door, it hits a fire hydrant, which moves! This is very easy to spot. (01:08:50)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where James Leer is getting dressed in Crabtree's room, we first see James wearing just a pair of white underwear. The scene cuts away from him for a couple of seconds, and then cuts to him again, only this time he is wearing black pants. He couldn't possibly have gotten dressed that quickly. (01:21:40)
James Leer: You want a bite?
Grady Tripp: No thanks.
James Leer: That's why you're having them. Your spells.
Grady Tripp: Spells? Jesus, James, you make it sound like we're in a Tennessee Williams play. I don't get spells.
