Visible crew/equipment: Chris Tucker escapes from the café and jumps on the back of the bus away from the cops. In the next scene the bus stops by the water and Tucker gets off. Right before the bus stops, you can see a cameraman in the bus' window. He is wearing a white collared shirt. (00:19:35)
Continuity mistake: The whole big prison bus escape scene revolves around Chris Tucker being handcuffed to the French guy, but when Frenchy's friend arrives in the bus he stands up and hugs him while the handcuff is shown completely unlocked from Tucker's hand. In the next shot and the entire next scene they are still handcuffed together.
Continuity mistake: During the scene in which Chris Tucker is in jail recounting his story to Faizon Love (about how the cops handled him when being arrested), in a shot showing the bodies and heads of Tucker and Love while they sit side by side on a bench, Love takes off his shirt and unzips his pants, exposing his orange underwear. A few moments later, another shot shows both men again, but this time, Love's pants are zipped up, no longer exposing the underwear.
Revealing mistake: When Franklin leaps out of the helicopter into the water, there is a shot from above that we see he is about to hit the water. To the left of him in the water you can see the water being split by a helicopter close to the water. The waves wouldn't have been created from the helicopter he just jumped out of because, a)The helicopter was too high up to make that sort of marking in the water and b)The waves are being made to the left of the helicopter. If it was the helicopter Franklin jumped from the markings on the water would have be directly below him or below the helicopter.
Continuity mistake: During the chase of the Caprice and the Jaguar, the damage on the Caprice constantly changes. Right before the car jumps off the overpass, it has lots of front end damage. When it's in the air it's clean but after it's landed it's torn up again.
Revealing mistake: When Chris Tucker is driving the jaguar in the car chase there are shots where it is blatantly obvious that it is Chris Tucker's double. He does not look like him and his body frame is different.
Continuity mistake: Just before Frenchie has Franklin thrown from the helicopter, there is a shot of Franklin looking out the helicopter's open door. As they fly by the docks, they are considerably higher than a cruise ship at the dock. This giant ocean liner is about 15 decks (stories) high, but when Franklin jumps to the water, he falls a much shorter distance.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Chris Tucker and Charlie Sheen are in the gun locker with Aaron, in one scene Aaron is holding an Uzi, then the camera shifts to Sheen, and in the next scene, Aaron is holding a shotgun when he had no time to switch guns.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Aaron and his bodyguard are sitting in the stadium, shooting at the bad guys, Aaron uses a shoulder mounted rocket launcher to blow up the control booth. As Aaron lifts the launcher to fire the rocket, there is nothing in the tube, you can see all the way through it, but a rocket flies out as soon as the trigger is pressed.
Continuity mistake: In the very first scene, Chris Tucker is driving a Benz. There is a shot of the front license plate. In the next scene when he pulls away from the stadium, there is a shot of the back license plate and its different than the one from the other shot. Just after that he pulls into the car wash and there is no plate on the front at all.
Plot hole: When Chris Tucker phones his girlfriend from from the mansion, we see the 2 detectives, staked out in front of the girlfriend's house listening in on the call and trace the call to Beverly Hills. At the end of the call Tucker tells her that he's "on his way over". The detectives apparently aren't too concerned about this or forget, as when Tucker shows up, they are still casually sitting in the van. They haven't called for backup to set up an ambush or anything, no, -one of them is asleep and the other decides they should go check out the girlfriend's apartment after seeing a light go on.
Suggested correction: As we who have seen the film all know, ol boy with the grey/white hair is actually a crooked cop and the younger hothead listens to him. Even when Tucker shows up at the house he still doesn't reveal that he is a crooked cop, not until he has the diamonds does he do that. It makes perfect sense for them not to call for backup, and they use her turning the light back on as proof that he has shown up showing that they heard him say he was coming.
