Factual error: This is set in summer 2007 but they watch Superbad (released August 2007) on DVD.
Suggested correction: The movie actually takes place in 2006. Superbad coming out in 2007 was correct.
The movie starts in late 2006, then Oliver is invited to spend the summer (2007) with Felix, where the bulk of the movie takes place.
Do a word change if the mistake is valid. Not a correction.
Continuity mistake: The show has a clip of the main character cycling up to another main character at 00:10:58, then shows it again at 01:59:38 but from the wrong direction. (00:10:58 - 01:59:38)

Question: SPOILER: How did Oliver manage to actually end up in Saltburn? The family wouldn't have left it to him, and they did have cousins and other family who wouldn't exactly let Oliver get away with, say, faking the will.
Answer: Elspeth or Elsbeth, the character played by Rosamund Pike, left the house to him. This is the way I've read it. She signed over all of the deeds to Oliver because she was blissfully unaware that Oliver was the reason why she was dying. She had become so infatuated by him that she couldn't see him for who he really was.
