The Devil Comes at Night

Stupidity: Ben passes out on the living room floor. Before Jack leaves, he places a lantern-type flashlight a couple of inches above Ben's right shoulder. Apparently, Ben's first move when he wakes up in total darkness is to move his right hand from alongside his body to behind his shoulder, where he just happens to find the flashlight. Even if Ben's first reaction is to feel for a head injury, his hand does not go high enough to bump into the flashlight. (00:02:12 - 00:02:40)

Continuity mistake: The trees show through the front windows of the house largely have green leaves with subtle signs of starting to transition for autumn. Panning to the back windows, the trees have a distinct, more uniform orange tint (which cannot be attributed to the sun setting behind them). Returning to the front windows, the tree foliage is more fall-like, similar to the orange foliage in the backyard. (00:00:24)

Trivia: The "Prime Video" includes a goof/factual error stating: "At 18:26 when Ben looks in the refrigerator there is definitely light illuminating the interior despite there supposedly being no electricity in the house. In addition, he sets his flashlight on the table so it can't be from that." To the contrary, there is no apparent power outage. Jack leaves Ben a note stating "Keep lights off. Stay hidden" and Ben later flicks off the light switch. The reported "factual error" is nonfactual. (00:04:35 - 00:12:07)
