Saw X

Trivia: After 19 years, this became the first film in the franchise to receive mostly positive reviews from critics. The original film was previously the best-reviewed entry in the franchise according to Rotten Tomatoes, but only received mixed reviews.

Trivia: The doctor on the surgery DVD John finds in the ransacked clinic is actually the film's production designer, Anthony Stabley, in a cameo appearance.

Trivia: Director Kevin Greutert has stated that the film was made with the intention of it being Tobin Bell's swan-song in the role of Jigsaw, and a proper send-off for the character, though he stressed "never say never" when asked about a sequel or Bell possibly returning in the future.

Trivia: An assistant editor was working on a cut of the "Eye Vacuum" trap one day when the doorbell rang. He was shocked to find police at the door. Turns out, someone in a neighbouring building overheard the edit and misinterpreted the screams in the footage as someone actually being tortured to death, so they called the cops. The officers were very amused when they found out he was just editing a movie. Director Kevin Greutert later joked, "It must have been a pretty realistic performance!"

Trivia: The writers were reportedly began working on this film not too long after the release of "Jigsaw" in 2017. However, Chris Rock's project "Spiral: From the Book of Saw" became a priority, and this project was placed on hold. When that film failed to live up to previous entries at the box office, the producers allowed the writers to bring this project back and try to course-correct the series.

Trivia: Minor spoilers: The first movie in the series in which the film continues after the classic theme "Hello Zepp" plays. In every other movie, the song signals the ending of the film, and the song concludes with a cut to black. Whereas, in this movie, there's an additional scene before the credits start.

Trivia: Stay tuned after the credits start. Midway through, there is a bonus scene showing a loose end from earlier in the film being tied up, in addition to a cameo from a legacy character. This scene also makes "Saw X" the first theatrical "Saw" film to feature a credits scene. (While the unrated cut of "Saw VI" had a credits scene, it was only on DVD and Blu-Ray and never shown in theaters.)

Trivia: To honor this being the tenth film in the franchise, Lionsgate allowed the production to use the old "turning gears" logo that was used in the original seven films, before it was phased out for their newer, more modern logo that was seen in "Jigsaw" and "Spiral: From the Book of Saw."

Trivia: At 118 minutes, this is the longest theatrically-released "Saw" film to date.

Trivia: As part of the film's marketing, the studio made a spoof of AMC Theaters' "We Come to This Place" commercial that plays just before films in their theaters start, with Billy the Puppet in place of Nicole Kidman. In response, AMC's CEO, Adam Aron, actually asked Lionsgate to pull the ad, to which the latter obliged.

Trivia: Just something amusing to pay attention to... during the "Eye Trap," Jigsaw gives the subject a 60-second time limit. But if you actually time the scene, the trap goes off only about 55 seconds after it starts. This is actually quite ironic because in the other movies, a common error is that the trap scenes last way longer than the time limits Jigsaw gives, whereas this one is actually slightly shorter. (Probably not a mistake, however, since it's a "vision" and not real.)

Continuity mistake: SPOILERS: In the post-credits scene, after Henry's trap starts, in the second-to-last shot, you see him sort of start to shake and rear his head back. But then in the next shot, he's no longer shaking. Additionally, his head is down again and he rears it back a second time.

Question: What happens to the lady after the film ends that has her head in the hole? As during the film, she shows she has no morals. In the rest of the movies, you never hear her name mentioned or what happened to her. But surely, with him trapping her and taking the money at the end, it would piss her off enough to want to get the money back and seek revenge on him.

Answer: If I'm not mistaken, the room she was in was locked. She may have been able to survive the trap by sticking her head through the opening, but if she has no way of leaving the room, eventually she would starve to death.

Phaneron

Answer: There's no definitive answer. It's left purposely ambiguous, presumably in case they want to bring the character back in the future. (There is a deleted scene on the Blu-Ray showing the door opening on its own once the countdown hits zero, so presumably she is able to escape.) As for her coming for him... we simply don't know. It's possible she'll show up again in a future film. But you also have to factor in that John has a LOT of evidence on her criminal misdeeds... so he likely could have her arrested and jailed if she comes for him.
