Stupidity: The location of the small hole near the bottom of the wood-trimmed wall where Everette passed Sharyn a note and pencil would have taken much more time and effort to accomplish compared to merely penetrating the wall a little higher (where there would not have been wood trimming/baseboard on both sides). Other mistake: Sharyn was hooked up to an IV catheter somewhere in her upper arm (underneath her gown's short sleeve). The IV's location is unusual because IV catheters are usually placed in an easily accessible location, such as the back of the hand or forearm. When Sharyn ran out of her room, she apparently ripped out the IV without injuring the injection site or causing any bleeding. After being returned to her room from her escape attempt, she no longer required IV therapy (wasn't hooked up). (00:06:30 - 00:07:34)
