Character mistake: The 911 operator told Margot, "He [intruder Griffin] sounds harmless to me" and Margot said, "Fine", ending the 911 call. The 911 operator should follow protocol for an intruder (especially since there was the possibility of a another intruder in the house), not make a subjective assessment of the situation based on the conversation between the resident and the intruder. Deliberate mistake: Some clothes were interchangeable from one character to another (or within a character over time), despite their obvious differences in sizes/body frames. Hazel, as a much heavier senior citizen, was still able to wear her "lucky" carnation pink coat that fit her 58 years earlier when she was a skinny young lady. Hazel was also able to switch coats with Margot, who had a much thinner body. The coat on Margot even looked form-fitting afterwards. Kip's tuxedo did not look too large on Griffin. Factual error: The Lenox Hotel and The Copley Plaza Hotel are a block away from each other. Griffin did not need to take the horse and buggy and then a bus to get there. They are way too close for that.
Continuity mistake: When Kip walks in on Griffin and Margot the first time they meet, Griffin already has his shirt on and is about to put on a sweater. In the next clip, Griffin is putting his shirt on again. (00:32:10)
Continuity mistake: The way Margot's bag/purse was set on the bed (handles hanging over the foot) was different (near the center) when Margot leaned/fell backwards onto the bed. Also, when Margot jumped off the bed, the purse was back to being closer to the foot of the bed with the handles hanging somewhat over the side. (00:23:34 - 00:28:51)
Revealing mistake: The "snow" that Kip and his friends jumped into after leaving the bath house was obviously fake (like the "snow" on the pine trees). Beads of "snow" do not fly into the air when impacted by a weighted object, such as a body. (00:22:32)
