Trivia: In "All I Want for Christmas" (1991), Hallie [Thora Birch] told her dad that Pluto is her "favorite planet." Pluto was reclassified or re-defined as a "dwarf planet" (now one of five) by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 2006. Many people were - and still are - unhappy about the "demotion" of what used to be the ninth planet and previously known as the smallest planet. Compared to one Earth year to revolve around the sun, Pluto takes 248 (Earth) years. (00:56:58)

Continuity mistake: It wasn't snowing in the front of the house (e.g, when Ethan, Hallie, and Stephanie were going home; when the ambulance arrived; when anyone came in the front door), but it was snowing heavily in the rear of the house during scenes showing the Christmas tree.
