Corrected entry: At the performance of the play, the opening song introduces the plot of the play to the audience. However the play is introduced incorrectly because Dunst claims to be in love with 'Lysander'. In the real 'Midsummer Night's Dream' her character is in love with Demetrius.

Correction: That's the whole point. Yes, HELENA (the character she portrays in the play) was supposed to be in love Demetrius. KELLY was saying that she loves Burke, who plays Lysander. Didn't you realize the shocked expression on Burke's face? Burke looks very surprised that Kelly says that she loves "Lysander" and not "Demetrius".

Corrected entry: Only obvious to those of us from down under, the clumsy blonde girl is introduced as "New Zealand's gift to Rosnell High" but Kylie Bax is an Australian, with a very Australian accent, despite her name in the film.

Correction: Kylie Bax is from Thames, New Zealand.

Corrected entry: In the very beginning, when they are all at the party. Felix (Colin Hanks) sees his sister Kelly (Kirsten Dunst). when he first sees her, she doesn't have anything on her shoulders, but when he goes over to her, she has a knitted sweater on over her dress.

Correction: She has the sweater in her hands.

a river runs through it

Corrected entry: In the movie, Felix, Bert, and Sisqo are walking on the street sidewalk. They pass the same building twice, Law Office, in the same conversation. This is right before Bert goes into the Music Store to by Kelly's gift that he gave her.

Correction: They do move past what looks like the same building twice, but if you look carefully, there are two Law Offices.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie during the play, Kelly goes backstage during intermission, and her hairstyle and color has changed. (According to DVD commentary, it was a pick-up scene and she had already started filming Spider-Man. That's why her hair was now red. Still a mistake, but there's the explanation.)

Dr. Desmond Forest Oates: I'd like you to read this poster and tell me what it says at the bottom.
Kelly: "No food or drink allowed in the auditorium at any time."
Dr. Desmond Forest Oates: It says "Twelve original songs by Dr. Desmond Forest Oates."
Kelly: Oh, that part.
Dr. Desmond Forest Oates: Yes, that part. I'll tell you what it doesn't say. It doesn't say "Additional lyrics by little miss sassy pants."

Trivia: At the beginning of the film when Colin Hanks' character is trying to set Ben Foster's character up with the unlucky/clumsy blond, he mentions the school name as Rosnell High, which is a thinly-veiled reference to his school in the TV series Roswell High.
