Continuity mistake: When Mark dies his body falls to the ground falling forward. After Damien screams and goes over to him his body is now lying across the path.
Damien Thorn: Why are you running away from me, Mark?
Mark Thorn: I know who you are.
Damien Thorn: You do?
Trivia: Elizabeth Shepherd's stunt double was aiming to land on top of the truck but ended up slamming into the front of the trailer, by accident. Though she successfully completed the stunt on her second attempt, the filmmakers decided to use the first take featuring the botched stunt instead.
Question: When Damien killed Mark, he screamed and started to cry. Was he truly upset that he killed him, or was he putting on a show for his aunt and uncle?
Answer: He was truly upset, as he had not come to terms with being the Antichrist yet.

Answer: Damien is still very conflicted, having thought of himself as a regular boy his entire life. While he is slowly embracing his nature, he hasn't lost his emotions, and he's crying because he's actually sad that he had to kill his friend.
