Ostriches generally have acute hearing that enable them to hear approaching predators, so it is unlikely the ostrich (even a pet) would not have raised its head when Rachel was still on the other side of the door. Character mistake: After Robyn asked Mason who Bud was, Mason said, "Bud was Paul and I's staff sergeant in Afghanistan." [Sic] FBI agents have at least a BA/BS and often advanced (graduate) °. Mason's use of "I's" is not proper and reflects his failure to master basic English. The possessive pronoun of "I" is "my", so Mason should have said "Paul's and my..." (01:35:16)
