Wayne's World

Factual error: When Wayne and Garth are driving to the Alice Cooper concert in Wisconsin, they pass palm trees while driving the expressway from Chicago. There are no palm trees on any expressway in Illinois or Wisconsin. (00:57:00)

Factual error: In some of the shots of the band playing, it is very obvious that Cassandra isn't playing her bass correctly. Particularly in the basement performance, where she sometimes doesn't even move her arms at all while singing. (00:13:25)

Factual error: When Wayne and Garth drive to Milwaukee, they leave Chicago, the sign reads Wilson Ave, when they announce their arrival - a very similar shot pops up reading Wilson Ave.

Factual error: When they are driving around listening to Bohemian Rhapsody in Garth's car they are supposedly in Aurora, IL but Cermak Plaza is in Berwyn, Satchel's is in Cicero and the White Castle is in Lyons. All these towns are an hour away from Aurora.

Trivia: The police officer in Stan Makita's Donut Shop is named Koharski, in reference to NHL Referee Don Koharksi. After poorly officiating game 3 of the 1988 playoff series between the Devils and Bruins, Devils coach Jim Shoenfeld and Koharsky argued on the way to the dressing rooms. Koharsky fell and told Shoenfeld he'd be suspended for pushing him, and that it was all on film. Shoenfeld said, "Good, cause you tripped and fell you fat pig, have another donut.". All this was shown on ESPN.

Question: During one scene in the Mirthmobile, Wayne pulls up alongside another driver, winds down the window and says "Pardon me, do you have any gray poopah?" and then begins to laugh. What's he talking about?

Answer: There was a series of commercials for a mustard called Grey Poupon in the late 80s and early 90s. It usually involved someone driving up next to a limo in a cheaper car, rolling their window down and asking them "pardon me sir, do you have any Grey Poupon?". Then the richer man in the limo would say "certainly" and pass it to the guy in the other car. They were incredibly stupid commercials and wayne's world makes fun of them.
