Other mistake: At the docks, when Min-jung is inside the truck that is surrounded by zombies, there is a moment shown from inside the truck where the helicopter is shown in the background. The helicopter is far off in the distance, but when Min-jung begins to put the machine gun under her chin to shoot herself with, Jung-seok and Min-jung's daughters (who are standing right next to the helicopter) can see exactly what Min-jung is doing inside the truck, even though it should be too far away for her to see what is going on. (01:45:13 - 01:45:39)
Continuity mistake: After seeing the helicopter that her father called for, Min-jung reaches for a machine gun that is lying on the ground, using her right hand. When the shot cuts, she is using her left hand. (01:42:51)
Factual error: When Chul-min is shot by Sergeant Hwang, it takes only a couple of seconds for him to die. The bullet hit Chul-min on the left-hand side of his upper chest and was only shot once. No human being on the planet can die from a single bullet wound to the chest that quickly. It would have taken a couple of minutes, maybe even longer, for him to die from that. (01:20:35)
Continuity mistake: After Jung-seok runs into the hideout, it cuts to Sergeant Hwang inside the zombie pit shouting "Number 61", where he pushes a button to release zombies into the pit. In the first shot of Hwang, there is a man beside him who has his elbow resting against a handrail and has his lower arm positioned behind the edge of the handrail. In the next shot, the same man now has his lower arm positioned over the edge of the handrail. (01:15:55)
Audio problem: Sergeant Hwang asks Captain Seo if he can have some of his gin. Whilst Seo is walking over to his desk, right as he says "Got something to report", the sound of the gin being poured from the bottle and into a glass can be heard. Immediately after the sound of the gin being poured is heard, we can suddenly heard the sound of the bottle being placed on the desk. There is no way these two sounds would have been heard instantly. After Hwang poured the gin into the glass, he would have had to turn the bottle from a rotated position to an upright position and then lower it down onto the desk, so a few seconds would had to have passed in between the two sounds, but there wasn't. (01:10:30)
Continuity mistake: Captain Seo walks into a room to find Sergeant Hwang looking at bottle of gin. Just after Hwang says "Johnny Walker Black Label", he turns his head away from the bottle, looks forwards, then begins to turn his head to the left to face Seo. In the next shot, Hwang is still looking at the bottle, before turning to face Seo. (01:10:00)
Continuity mistake: When Min-jung is about to get out of the car, she asks her daughter to hug her. In one shot, her right hand is at a rotated angle, but in the next shot, her right hand is suddenly at a straight angle. (01:05:04)
Continuity mistake: Chul-min gets the number 61 spray painted on his torso and back, at the compound. When the soldiers begin taking him to the shipping container to lock him in, the number 6 on his torso is smudged. A minute later, when the inmates begin going into the zombie pit, the 6 on his torso is no longer has the smudging shown earlier. (00:50:55 - 00:52:15)
Continuity mistake: When Chul-min is being cornered by the other soldiers at the compound, a man walks up to him with a knife to cut his shirt off. In one shot, the knife is being pointed at a diagonal, but slightly upward position. In the next shot, he is holding the knife in an entirely vertical position. (00:50:02)
Continuity mistake: When the 3rd platoon returns to the hideout, just as Sergeant Hwang says "Private Kim! Isn't it beautiful?", he is standing next to a tall soldier with long hair that is tied back. The shot changes to a different angle and the sergeant is now standing a foot or two ahead of the tall soldier. (00:43:31)
Continuity mistake: Sergeant Hwang is thrown a javelin to stab one of the team members who assisted in getting the money. When he catches the javelin, his hand is placed over some tape that has been wrapped around it. The camera cuts to a different angle where his hand is now placed slightly above the tape. Then two shots after, his hand is positioned much further up the javelin. (00:39:03)
Continuity mistake: Once the group find the truck with the money inside, the man in the driver seat awakens as a zombie and begins attacking Chul-min. This prompts Jung-seok to pull him out of the truck and shoot the zombie. Right before he shoots the zombie, there is a quick shot where Chul-min is standing beside Jung-seok. The shot then cuts to the zombie getting shot and Chul-min is standing behind Jung-seok. (00:27:06)
Continuity mistake: Just after arriving in the Korean Peninsula, the group is shown walking across an abandoned road. There is a shot where Jung-seok has his rifle raised so that he can look through the eyepiece and is then shown lowering it. Then it cuts to an overview shot where the rifle is suddenly raised to Jung-seok's eye again and then lowers it once again. (00:19:52)
Audio problem: After being told to leave the restaurant, Jung-seok says to Chul-min "You go ahead" and Chul-min proceeds to leave. As Chul-min begins walking away, he is heard sighing in a very heavy and exhausted manner, but his mouth isn't shown moving when it happens. (00:16:22)
Continuity mistake: Chul-min tries to have a fight with one of the restaurant patrons whilst Jung-seok restrains him. Whilst the patron is saying "Do you even care about other patrons", Chul-min has his right hand on Jung-seok's upper arm, but when the shot cuts, the hand is no longer there. (00:16:07)
Continuity mistake: When one of the restaurant patrons starts shouting at Chul-min, he attempts to walk over to the patron, so Jung-seok tries to hold him. In one angle, Chul-min has his left hand placed near the middle of Jung-seok's torso. When it cuts to an angle with Chul-min's back to camera, we cannot see specifically where his hand is placed, but the distance between his body and Jung-seok's body indicates that it is too far for his left hand to be positioned on Jung-seok's torso in the same place as in the previous shot. (00:16:06)
Factual error: When Jung-seok is trying to get his sister away from her son, he begins shooting at a zombie that begins charging at him, and he falls on his back. Behind him, another zombie is shown with two other zombies lying on top of him. The zombie then manages to stand himself up, with almost no struggle and this also prompts the two zombies to fly off him. This move completely defies the laws of physics. This zombie should have the strength of an average man, and the two other zombies should be of equal, or at least somewhere near, the same weight as him. He was only using his arms and back to stand himself up, so realistically, the moment of him trying to stand up should have taken a lot more strength and a bit more struggle than what was shown. (00:08:13)
Continuity mistake: When Jung-seok returns to the cabin after the zombie outbreak has started in it, there is a shot of him walking past a support pole. The next shot is a POV angle of Jung-seok walking through the cabin. The following shot then shows Jung-seok walking past the same pole a second time. (00:07:08)
Other mistake: Jung-seok's nephew accidentally drops a ball which rolls away and lands in front of a nearby bed. When he walks over to get it, he realises that the man sitting on the bed has turned into a zombie. He is shown in a contorted position, with his back lifted off the ground and is heard making painful grunting noises. The other passengers in the cabin then realise there is a zombie in the room with them. It is extremely hard to believe that none of the other passengers in the cabin would have noticed this beforehand, not even by accident. This man's body was in a completely inhuman and unrealistic position, but it's not until the nephew walks up to him where people start to notice. (00:05:25)
Continuity mistake: When Jung-seok is on the boat with his family, a soldier walks into the cabin he is staying in. When this happens, Jung-seok is shown stroking the back of his nephew's head, down to the back of his neck. The camera changes to a different angle and his hand is suddenly still and motionless.
