Other mistake: During the intro, the Poet (voiced by the author of the original book, Luis Sepúlveda) is frying a couple of eggs. When he does his dramatic rendition though, he moves the frying pan in ways that would certainly spill its content. (00:01:20)
Other mistake: The color of the buttons described by Diderot (and as it can be seen on the schematics he's holding) does not match the actual control panel of the crane. (00:05:00 - 00:06:40)
Continuity mistake: When the two cats move past the yawning rat to go up the crane lifter, the door is shut, but they slip into its semi-opened door when they reach the platform in the next shot. (00:06:05)
