Question: Why did Traven lie to Mary-Ann and tell her that Julius died at birth and that Vincent was never born?
Question: How could Mary-Ann not know she was giving birth to Vincent shortly after Julius was born? Wouldn't she have felt another intense pain to indicate she was going into labor a second time? Plus, how would they be able to keep the birth of Vincent a secret from her in the first place?
Answer: She could have been unconscious by that point.
Question: Who could they return the money to? The guy who paid Vincent was killed.
Answer: The money would be returned to the police and used as evidence. Even though Beetroot is dead the police still need to do an investigation to close the case. Since the $4 million was used in a felony (conspiracy and theft), the money would be impounded by the city.
Question: There are 2 doctors who don't inform the twins that their mother is alive, but the first one remains a friend and the other is the bad guy. Why the difference?
Chosen answer: Although I wouldn't call one a bad guy, Professor Werner is the the one who raised Julius, and would remain a friend because of this bond. Mary Ann (the twins' mother) however, was told that Julius died at birth and was never told about Vincent. She blames Professor Traven for this (probably since he's the only one around to yell at). Vincent on the other hand was never told his mother died during childbirth and he grew up thinking his mother abandoned him. Until Julius showed up, he never knew he was part of an experiment and he had no knowledge of either doctors and probably no feelings regarding either of them.
Question: With all those unpaid parking tickets, wouldn't Vincent's car be towed, instead of just getting another ticket for handicap parking with no handicap tag?
Answer: It most likely was towed while Vince was being handcuffed and put in the police car.
Question: Two questions here: 1. Maybe this is left to viewer's own discretion, but did Webster kill Al after confronting him about where to find Vincent? A gun was held to Al's head but then the scene changes without knowing. 2. How did Webster even know about asking Al about Vincent when he didn't even know of Vincent - just that the car was missing. Technically, ANYBODY could have stolen that car and Al easily could have legitimately not known what happened to it (even though he did in this case).
Answer: It's safe to assume he killed Al since he was killing people for seeing his face. As for the other part of your question, you're just assuming he personally asked for Vincent. More than likely he went to Al to see what happened to his car. With a gun pointed at his head, of course he's gonna give up Vincent in hopes of surviving.
It is a bit confusing about the killing for "seeing his face" part because Webster seemed throughout the film to only kill those that knew about his work scheme (stolen engine for millions). The two workers, Beetroot and his partner and the Benedicts all knew about it, but Al and the Klane bros. Did not physically know about it (which is why the Klane bros. Were only shot in the feet and not killed).
Answer: Because the offspring of this experiment was meant to be studied, researched. Mary-Ann showed signs of maternal attachment toward the end of her pregnancy, which the scientists involved felt would hinder the experiment due to her not wanting her baby poked and prodded at all day, every day. So she was told her baby died at birth and she was sent on her way. There was no point even mentioning the second baby since she never knew she was carrying twins in the first place.
