Corrected entry: During the blackout when Kyle McLachlan runs down the street after stealing antibiotics from a drugstore, all the lights in the stores he passes are obviously on.
The Trigger Effect (1996)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: David Koepp
Starring: Dermot Mulroney, Elisabeth Shue, Kyle MacLachlan, Richard T. Jones
Visible crew/equipment: When Matthew walks from the hospital to the pharmacist to steal the prescription for their baby, the trolley camera and the guy pulling it are reflected in the shop window.
Trivia: The story was inspired by the classic television show "The Twilight Zone" (1959) in the episode "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street," which depicts the denizens of the street slowly becoming crazy after a power failure. In fact, in the film's production notes, Matthew and Annie live on the corner of Maple and Willoughby (another classic TZ episode, "A Stop At Willoughby"), obvious allusions to "The Twilight Zone".

Correction: A lot of stores have generators for just such instances. Especially in an area that would have to worry about earthquakes causing power outages. (During the Northeast Blackout in August 2003 there were plenty of stores that had generators and therefore had lights on.)
