Question: Whilst atop the oil towers, Grady asks Burt if he's sure he doesn't have any more bullets. When they blow the Shrieker off the top of the blue Volvo, it's evident they have quite a few bullets left for the elephant guns. I get that they're slow at reloading and they'd be dinner if they tried to take them all on at once. But why not have someone sneak into the office, grab the guns, and go back to the oil towers, then pick them off one by one?

Tremors 2 (1996)
1 question since 4 Mar '25, 04:35
Directed by: S.S. Wilson
Starring: Fred Ward, Michael Gross, Helen Shaver, Chris Gartin, Christopher Gartin
Audio problem: In the scene where the Grabboid is pulling the truck with the chain attached and the guy is trying to shoot it, the gun noises do not match up with the muzzle flashes at all. At one point it is obvious he fires 2 shots, and yet 4 "bangs" can be heard.
Burt Gummer: I am completely out of ammo. That's never happened to me before.
Trivia: Early in production, the film was reportedly intended to be a theatrical release as the first film became a huge hit on VHS and on cable. However, when original co-stars Kevin Bacon and Reba McEntire were unable to commit for various reasons, the budget was lowered and it became a direct-to-video feature. While this was initially disappointing, it paid off in the long run, as it launched a continuing franchise with a further five sequels and a popular (but short-lived) TV series.

Answer: The elephant gun was used in the original Tremors. When Burt returned in the damaged truck, he said he was completely out of ammo.
