The Only Living Boy in New York
Movie Quote Quiz

Judith Webb: You know, the farthest distance in the world, is between how it is and how you thought it was gonna be.

Thomas Webb: And eventually I came up with a collection of essays which I called Mary Jane vs. Everything, which I was incredibly proud of. And, you know, I showed them to my Dad.
Johanna: What did Ethan say?
Thomas Webb: "Serviceable."
Johanna: Ouch.

Ethan Webb: I want you to move from the lower east side. Why do you insist on living in the farthest corner away from us. I think it's intentional. I think it's almost hurtful.

Continuity mistake: With awkward timing that brings the table conversation to a screeching halt, Thomas says that "New York lost its soul." The woman next to him was having a glass of wine, but it is down on the table in the next shot. George also has his glass raised (we see it in foreground when Thomas explains himself) but it's on the table in the wider angle. (00:11:20)
