Continuity mistake: Just as Molly starts her first golf lesson, you can see her car in the distance. At the end of the lesson, when she walks back to the car, the car has changed position and angle.
Continuity mistake: During the scene where Roy is caddying for Dave Simms, Phil Mickelson hits a shot to the green. Roy says, "He's on the green - in good shape too". However, when Roy's ball lands on the green, Phil's ball is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Roy has just finished practising and is standing next to his golf bag holding a bottle of beer. He is not wearing a golf glove. However, as he is walking back to the 'clubhouse' he is seen removing a golf glove, with his mouth, from his left hand.
Continuity mistake: During the first competition when Roy is caddying for David Sims we see Roy offer David the 3 Wood. When David refuses they have a discussion. Watch as you see Roy holding the club in his left hand lower the club down holding it in his hand. Right after the discussion we see Roy then once again pull the 3 Wood from the bag and again offer it to David.
Continuity mistake: As Roy is destroying his clubs during their qualifying rounds, Romeo's stance with the golf bag is different each time the camera pans back to him throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: Right after the spotter points out to Roy where his ball is in the woods, not only does the spotter disappear, but Roy is seen moving a large leaf that was not even near the ball in the first shot of the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Roy is lying on the sofa whilst talking on the phone to his ex-girlfriend, the telephone disappears. At the end of the call he puts the telephone on his chest, but the telephone is not there in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: After the doctor catches Roy wearing all the golf equipment, they are outside talking and his hair keeps changing from being tucked under his hat to sticking out from under the hat.

Continuity mistake: When Roy starts to play against Boone, he is taking a pink ball from Romeo, while we see Boone in the background wearing his sunglasses. The camera then changes to a close-up on Boone making a derogatory comment on the "pink fag ball" ball, and the sunglasses are now not on.
Continuity mistake: When Earl is Roy's caddy, he stops at the first hole, leans over the golf bag exhausted saying that he wished Romeo was there. The camera angle changes and he is now standing straight up and not breathing hard.
Continuity mistake: Nearing the end of the movie, Craig Stadler approaches Molly and asks for a card or two. He has his sunglasses on his head, if you look at his hair, in the first shot its swept down to the side. In the next shot a portion is hanging between the glasses against his forehead. In the following shot as he walks away, his hair is back to sweeping to the side.
Continuity mistake: When Rene Russo is talking on the phone in her office you see in the alternating shots of her head - her hair is in front of the cord then behind it as the shot changes. Her hair alternates with the shots 5 or 6 times.
Continuity mistake: When David first comes to visit Roy he tells him that his tournament has a half million dollar purse. Later at the tournament, Peter Costas says it is a $250,000 purse.
Continuity mistake: When Roy is playing 3rd round, TV personnel are saying "cut to 18". On the TV monitor it displays Sims as the leader tied with Jacobsen at 5 under par, and also shows 2nd round. When the camera shows Roy again, his score card displays him at 7 under par, and Cook at 2 under par.
Continuity mistake: When Roy and Romeo have just bought back the golf clubs and are walking away from the pawn shop, they walk past a wall-mounted public telephone, then they stop walking. When they start to walk again, they walk past the same telephone again.
