Continuity mistake: When Donald flees a barrage of falling potatoes from the door that Sergeant Pete has opened, Donald loses his hat and when he emerges he now has a potato on his head. But after a quick cut to Sergeant Pete, we return to Donald and the potato has changed into his hat.
Continuity mistake: Look at the box Donald is sitting on when he is peeling potatoes at the beginning of the short. You can see on the side there is a hole at the bottom, but a couple of shots later the hole has gone and there are now four pieces of wood around the perimeter.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the short, we see two aeroplanes flying at the Air Training Base and both aircraft have circular discs on the back of them, but when they fly past the window where Donald is looking out in the next shot, the discs on the planes have gone.
Continuity mistake: When Donald is hanging onto Sergeant Pete, he pulls the shoe and sock off Pete's right foot. When Pete and Donald are falling along with the bomb, Pete's left foot is the one that's now bare.
Continuity mistake: When Donald reports to Sergeant Pete's desk, Pete has initially some papers in front of him, but in the next shot the papers have gone and a fountain pen and ink holder has appeared.
Continuity mistake: During the game of "Pin the Tail on the Aeroplane", Sergeant Pete is standing between the doorframe when Donald is walking towards him, but in the next shot, Pete is standing on the ledge.
Continuity mistake: When Donald complains that he wants to fly while peeling potatoes, the potato he is holding has peel at the bottom of it, but when we see the potato in the next shot, the peel has gone.
Continuity mistake: When Donald is playing "Pin the Tail on the Aeroplane", he has nothing in his hand when he comes out a door and turns the corner, but in the next shot he is now holding the tail.
Continuity mistake: There are two potatoes near the box Donald is sitting when he is peeling potatoes at the beginning, but when Donald throws his potato airplane, the potatoes have gone.
Continuity mistake: When Donald and Sergeant Pete are falling from the aeroplane with the bomb, the fins on the rear of the bomb disappear and re-appear between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Sergeant Pete throws Donald out of the aeroplane, Donald has nothing on his back, but in the next shot his parachute bag has appeared.
Continuity mistake: When Donald is cutting Sergeant Pete's cap, the cap has a "U.S." badge on it in a close-up, but in the next shot the badge has disappeared.
