Continuity mistake: The final battle starts around dawn, and it's very dark when the bad guys arrive, but between shots it suddenly gets much brighter. (01:38:50)
Suggested correction: When you see the helicopter start flying in after Brixton asking them to bring it in, you can see the sun in the distance, so perhaps some time passed by.
But the weapons are only disabled for 6 minutes and the 6 minutes end when they're hooked up to the chopper, which is way later.
Factual error: The grenade booby trap in Hattie's flat gets triggered, with the pin coming out and lever comes off. Once that happens the fuse is set and there's no way to stop it exploding, but Shaw puts the pin back in and renders it inert again. (00:25:50)
Continuity mistake: When the helicopter drops off the cliff it's fine and sunny. As soon as it lands there's thunder and lightning. 2 mins later it's sunny again when they get back up the cliff. (01:50:00)
Suggested correction: When the helicopter starts to crash and go down you can see the storm approaching. The characters are then seen coming round and getting up following the crash. 2 or 3 minutes could have easily passed in that time as it's not shown how long it takes for them to come round. When Hobbs and Brixton are exchanging remarks, the rain then starts. When we see the trio up on the cliff after Brixton has been shut down, it's clear some time has passed. Since they are now at the top of a cliff. Not necessarily the one they fell down.
When the bad guy catches her, you can see the device on her back. The countdown shows 20 minutes. Since the device will take 30 minutes to complete its process, it means that only 10 minutes passed since the device was activated, before the final battle, in the middle of the night.
Factual error: When the multiple vehicles are chained together and latched onto the helicopter, the chopper starts lifting up hard enough so that most of the vehicles are off the ground with the lead one only touching by the front wheels. The driver then hits NOS in the car to super charge the front wheels. We see them spin on the dirt road and pull the other cars down bringing the chopper down. However this defies almost every law of physics. With the cars lifted up and the weight taken off the front wheels of that vehicle, and it being on dirt with no spikes, there's no way it would have the traction to pull the chopper down at all. It would just peal out in the dirt. (01:45:40)
Continuity mistake: When Hobbs and Shaw are in the glass room meeting, Hobbs throws a chair that's next to the table at the glass towards the men on the other side. That chair lands on the floor near the glass, but when the camera pans after that, it shows Hobbs' hand on the backside of that same chair, and the chair is still at the table. (00:20:10)
Revealing mistake: During the electric shock scenes, the chairs are made of metal and hooked up to Jeep batteries. Hobbs and Shaw then proceed to smash the chairs up in the ensuing fight scene. Only for them to reappear just as the bomb goes off destroying the plant. (01:12:50 - 01:15:25)
Continuity mistake: When breaking out of Eteon, there is one shot where Hattie is lay on her back on the bonnet of the 4x4. Camera changes and now she's on her front. (01:17:10)
Other mistake: Deckard and Hattie were children at the same time, with Deckard appearing to be no more than 3 years older than Hattie. Although Jason Statham is presumably playing a character younger than he actually is, he is still noticeably much older than his on-screen sister. Jason Statham is in fact 21 years older than Vanessa Kirby.
Suggested correction: And people can age faster than others depending on the stress they've been under.
Even taking things like stress and hard living into account, Jason Statham is still much older looking than the character he is supposed to be playing. Or are you saying that he's under so much stress that, while he is in otherwise outstanding shape, his face is that of a man in his late 40's to early 50's? He looks at the very least 10 years older than the character is aparently supposed to be.
Factual error: In the helicopter scene, the main villain yells at the pilot to climb. He then goes up and throws the pilot out and takes over. It is a common misconception that helicopter pilots sit in the same seat as airline pilots (left seat). Helicopter pilots sit in the right seat. He just threw out someone that wasn't the pilot. Factual error: The lorry trailers Shaw drives under have no side bars fitted. This is a legal requirement in the UK and Europe to stop people doing exactly this, also they are fitted for safety reasons to stop people going under the trailer in an accident. (00:37:40)
Continuity mistake: When driving towards the lorries crossing in the McLaren, you get a long shot of the road and there are no arrows painted on the road. Camera changes to a close up and arrows are now on the road. (00:37:30)
Revealing mistake: Brixton ends up amongst the rubble and dust of the chimney stack collapsing on and around him. However when he is stood a few seconds later there is no dust visible on his immaculate black suit. (01:19:30)
Continuity mistake: At the end one of Hobbs' brothers is in a red vest with silver motif on the chest and stood behind Hobbs on the grass. Camera changes to Jonah and now the previously mentioned person is behind Jonah on the decking. (01:59:00)
Factual error: The grenade is kicked from its resting place and thus the firing pin is removed. 14 seconds later Shaw returns the pin to disarm the grenade, ignoring that mistake (which is already listed), a grenade's fuse is approximately 4 seconds. Much shorter than the 14 seconds shown on screen. (00:25:30)
Factual error: When Hattie is firing at Brixton she only fires 4 shots before weapon stops. She is using a Glock 26 which carries 10+1 rounds and the slides doesn't lock back yet she still pulls the trigger and you can hear the "click'. (00:02:35)
Continuity mistake: When Jonah gets the machine working he hugs Shaw. Camera changes angle and now Jonah is no where near Shaw. (01:35:10)
Suggested correction: Jonah was in front of Shaw (by where the laptop is in the top pic) not behind him.
Continuity mistake: Before Hattie and Hobbs get in the plane they have several bruises and wounds on their faces which disappear.
Continuity mistake: At the end while Hobbs and Hattie are in front of the sun, it's almost dawn and the sun sun is shining on their faces, then it's high in the sky.
Continuity mistake: When Hobbs and Shaw are on the plane and start bickering, there is no-one sat in the seat in front of them. However 2 minutes later Air Marshall Dinkley appears in the seat. (00:50:00 - 00:52:25)
