Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, a woman with a mustard colored robe approaches Aladdin about his monkey, attempting to distract him. In the shot from behind, Aladdin lowers his arms, but he's seen in the following shot with both arms raised examining a trinket hanging from the market stall. (00:04:50)
Continuity mistake: Aladdin is selling the necklace that Abu (his monkey) nicked from the pretty pickpocketer. Zulla tosses him a bag of dates; notice how between shots the two women behind him (one in an orange veil, the other with a yellow and orange beret) swap position. (00:05:55)
Continuity mistake: When Jasmine hands the bread to the two starving kids, the merchant in the background puts his hands around his neck, but in the next shot he is using his hands to gesture directly in front of him. (00:06:40)
Visible crew/equipment: Aladdin is running away from the guards with Jasmine: he counts to 3 and jumps from a roof. In the overhead shot there's an extra mat on the landing point to cushion his tumble and roll, which disappears in the following shot. Very visible, being white and along the parapet. (00:10:30)
Continuity mistake: Jasmine walks in on Jafar telling the Sultan to invade, there is purple tape all over the bottom of her dress. Shortly after it is not there anymore. (00:21:30)
Continuity mistake: When Aladdin dances in front of Jasmine his hair keeps swapping between perfectly brushed and messed up.
Continuity mistake: When Jafar freezes Aladdin and the monkey when they're about to grab the lamp, the way the monkey's frozen tail is curled differs between shots.
Continuity mistake: After Aladdin is saved from drowning and lays on the couch, his hair and face are soaking wet but his clothes are dry.
Other mistake: The scene after Genie saves Aladdin from drowning, Aladdin is recovering. The left pocket of his pants has a clear outline of a smartphone in it, or possibly a radio mic.
Other mistake: When Aladdin is in the polar area, when he exhales the water-vapour is not showing. Also he has no goosebumps.
Continuity mistake: Before Aladdin climbs the rock to grab the lamp he tells the monkey not to steal a pendant on a rock. The rock swaps from brightly lit to dark between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the movie ends and Aladdin exits the palace the passers by behind are not continuous between shots, check the woman in a salmon coloured sari, for example, who walks by twice.
Answer: Despite being a princess, Jasmine likely did not have access to money. Royals are known to never carry cash on their persons. Everything in Jasmine's life is controlled, and whatever she needs or wants is provided. She is young, naive, and has been so pampered and sheltered from the real world that she'd probably never consider how currency works.
